Today, let’s take a look at the All-Disappointment Fantasy Basketball Team for 2023-24.

Players who were disappointments because of injury were not included. Obviously, those who selected Ja Morant or LaMelo Ball were disappointed by how little they played this season. These players listed though did not live up to their ADP (Average Draft Position) on the court.

The team consists of two guards, two forwards, and a center. Overall draft rank listed was taken from the website FantasyPros. All stats listed are from games played through April 10.

Fantasy Basketball All-Disappointment Team for 2023-24

G – Scoot Henderson, Portland Trail Blazers (Overall Fantasy Basketball Draft Rank: 70th)

The third overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Scoot Henderson hasn’t necessarily put up terrible numbers. The problem is that he has torpedoed his fantasy owner’s field goal percentage. On the season, he is shooting just 38.5% from the field. Henderson has also turned the ball over quite a bit averaging 3.4 turnovers per game.

G – Jordan Poole, Washington Wizards (Overall Fantasy Basketball Draft Rank: 40th)

When Jordan Poole was traded to the Wizards, fantasy owners believed his scoring average could skyrocket without much talent on Washington’s roster. Instead, his 17.4 scoring average is three points less than it was last season with the Golden State Warriors. While he has played better of late, it may have been too late for those who selected him.

F – Mikal Bridges, Brooklyn Nets (Overall Fantasy Basketball Draft Rank: 21st)

Mikal Bridges still hasn’t missed a game in his six-year career. While he has been very good, those selecting Bridges expected him to be Brooklyn’s top scorer. Instead, it has been Cam Thomas leading the way. Bridges is averaging 19.9 points, way down from the 26.1 he averaged in his 27 games with the Nets last season. His 43.7% shooting from the field is his lowest since his rookie year.

Mikal Bridges addressed the Brooklyn crowd before tonight’s final home game:

“We appreciate you guys coming out this year. Selected first overall in the 2014 NBA Draft, he is averaging a career-low 13 points per contest. He really isn’t helping in other categories either with pedestrian averages of 4.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks.

C – Walker Kessler, Utah Jazz (Overall Fantasy Basketball Draft Rank: 60th)

Walker Kessler has still proven to be an elite shot blocker. His 2.4 per game places him third on the NBA leaderboard. Finishing third in 2022-23 Rookie of the Year voting, Kessler just hasn’t taken a step forward otherwise that many were expecting. Both his scoring and rebounding averages have gone down from his rookie year. He still provides value with his field goal percentage, but he didn’t shoot nearly enough for it to be a huge boon for those who rostered him.

With many fantasy basketball seasons coming to an end, we previously looked at the best players who went undrafted for the 2023-24 season.
