Brogdon was slated to be headed to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/p\/porzikr01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Kristaps Porzingis<\/strong><\/a> trade, but the Clippers pulled out of the deal due to damage found in his elbow. He played through a partial tear in his right elbow during Boston&#8217;s playoff run last season but opted to heal without surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Brogdon is having a solid season, averaging 15.7 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.8 rebounds. However, his injury leaves the Trail Blazers extremely shorthanded in the backcourt. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/sharpsh01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Shaedon Sharpe<\/strong> <\/a>(core muscle) may not play for the rest of the season.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/simonan01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong> Anfernee Simons<\/strong><\/a> missed the Blazers&#8217; (15-37) loss to New Orleans on Saturday while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hendesc01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Scoot Henderson<\/strong><\/a> (foot) has been sidelined since Feb. 5.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the injuries, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/haganas01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ashton Hagans<\/strong><\/a>, on a 10-day contract, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/thybuma01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Matisse Thybulle<\/strong> <\/a>started in the backcourt against the Pelicans.
