Now, the Rockets may be without two-fifths of their starting lineup for the near future.<\/p>\n<h2>NBA Rumors: Jimmy Butler&#8217;s New Injury, Rockets Without 2 Starters For Foreseeable Future &amp; Wemby&#8217;s Minutes Restriction<\/h2>\n<p>Houston was without <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Dillon+Brooks%2C+basketball+reference&amp;rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS1062US1062&amp;oq=Dillon+Brooks%2C+basketball+reference&amp;gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQLhiABNIBCTExMDA4ajBqNKgCALACAA&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Dillon Brooks<\/strong><\/a> (oblique) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/smithja05.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jabari Smith Jr.<\/strong><\/a> (ankle) in last night&#8217;s 131-127 home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, as the Rockets were outscored 41-30 in the final stanza. About a week or so<\/em>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Feigan said that Udoka added that oblique injuries \u201ccan be tricky\u201d to recover from, so Brooks\u2019 timeline is particularly hazy.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks left Tuesday&#8217;s game against Indiana with a right abdominal oblique strain after logging 22 minutes. Meanwhile, Smith suffered the ankle injury midway through the third quarter against Phoenix on Wednesday night when he stepped on teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/e\/easonta01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Tari Eason<\/strong><\/a>&#8216;s foot.<\/p>\n<p>Houston (15-15) will take a three-game losing streak into their Monday game against Detroit (3-29), who snapped its historic losing streak on Saturday against Toronto.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/greenje02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong> Jeff Green<\/strong><\/a> started at power forward against the 76ers, contributing 10 points and four boards in 33 minutes. He returned to action Tuesday but sat out Friday night&#8217;s 134-128 loss to Portland.<\/p>\n<p>Wembanyama has lived up to the hype of being the No. 1 overall pick in this past June&#8217;s draft thus far. The 19-year-old Frenchman is averaging 18.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.3 blocks in 27 appearances. However, he has struggled with his shot and turnovers.<\/p>\n<p>San Antonio (5-26) hosts Boston on Sunday. The Spurs have three backs-to-backs in January.<\/p>\n<h3>Kawhi Leonard Remains Out<\/h3>\n<p>Los Angeles Clippers forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/leonaka01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Kawhi Leonard<\/strong> <\/a>has missed the last four games after playing through an old hip injury that he had previously\u00a0been playing through. On Thursday, Lue said Leonard would practice \u201ca little bit\u201d as the team prepared for Friday\u2019s home game against Memphis. But before tipoff, Lue said Leonard had not participated, instead working out afterward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s getting better, but he\u2019s not cleared to play,&#8221; Lue added.<\/p>\n<p>The Clippers (19-12) close out their three-game homestand by hosting Miami (19-13) on Monday.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/coffeam01\/gamelog\/2024\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong> Amir Coffey<\/strong><\/a>, who has started the past five games, will likely remain in the starting lineup with Leonard out.
