UConn is looking to repeat this season for a National Championship. He will be ready for the season, but below discusses the need for Clingan to be fully healthy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Donovan has a foot strain, which is problematic for a player of his size. Clingan is 7’2” and 265 lbs, meaning tons of force is applied to his feet every time he plays basketball. Big men struggle with foot problems, take\u00a0<\/span>Yao Ming<\/span><\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Greg Oden<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, and\u00a0<\/span>Kristaps Porzingis<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0as all prime examples of big men who struggled to keep their feet healthy. Clingan is a big guy, so the idea of his feet having issues is not a good sign.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is an optimism in Storrs from UConn\u2019s medical staff that Donovan Clingan will fully recover from his foot strain before the season begins and that this injury should not linger. Obviously, never a positive to have a preseason setback but this could be a lot worse.<\/p>\n
