Marshall, who started 21 games last season, had a good year as he produced 9.1 points and 3.6 boards, though he is not the shooter that Murphy is. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/n\/nancela02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Larry Nance Jr<\/strong><\/a>. will be the first big off the bench, while the Pelicans hope that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/daniedy01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Dyson Daniels<\/strong><\/a>, chosen No. 8 in the 2022 draft,\u00a0 will take a huge step after a disappointing campaign last season. However, Hawkins struggled mightily on both ends of the floor during summer league action. He can score with his back-to-the-basket or facing up and is an above-average 3-point shooter. While Wood is a top-notch defensive rebounder, he mainly demonstrates indifference on the defensive end.<\/p>\n<p>Wood is an excellent signing for the Lakers. He has some familiarity with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/davisan02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Anthony Davis<\/strong> <\/a>and head coach Darvin Ham. Wood played with Davis with the Pelicans, and Ham was on the staff during his short stint with the Milwaukee Bucks.
