The 2023 FIBA World Cup opening round concludes for teams in groups A, D, G, and H on August 29. The top two teams in Group D and H<\/a> are already known, although seeding will be determined tomorrow. In Group D, the winner of Lithuania (2-0) versus Montenegro (2-0) will be sitting in great shape, heading into the Round of 16. Likewise, the winner of Group G, Canada\u00a0(2-0) or Latvia (2-0), will be in great shape heading into the Round of 16.<\/div>\n

However, In Group A, the Dominican Republic (2-0) are the leaders, but if they falter against Angola (1-1), Italy (1-1) could take the top spot in the group. If the D.R. loses by 15 or more, they would be in jeopardy of not advancing.\u00a0 Italy faces the winless Philippines (0-2) in their last contest.<\/p>\n
