He averaged an astounding 20.1 points per game on 46% shooting from the field, along with 5.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists, to be named the 2010 Rookie of the Year. Though his scoring gradually decreased, he played a key role for the Kings in the four years he spent there. Evans was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2013, before another trade sent him back to Sacramento in 2016. He also made free agent stops with the Memphis Grizzlies and Indiana Pacers. Evans played well for Indiana in the 2019 playoffs. He averaged 15.3 points on 43% shooting from the field and 55% from three.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In May 2019, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/tyreke-evans-dismissed-league-official-release\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evans was dismissed by the NBA<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> after violating the league\u2019s Anti-Drug Program. He was reinstated in 2022 and played for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/teams\/MIL\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Milwaukee Bucks<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. However, he has been unable to return to the NBA, likely prompting this recent offer from Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Terrence Ross<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The veteran sharpshooter Ross <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/b92sport\/status\/1693037048951611596\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">confirmed via Twitch<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that he received an offer from Serbian team KK Partizan. The 6-foot-7 guard\/forward most recently played for the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/teams\/PHO\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Phoenix Suns<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, averaging nine points on 43\/34\/85 splits. Though Ross remains a free agent\u2014one of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/2023\/08\/15\/nba-free-agency-top-five-small-forwards-still-available\/\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">several notable wings left on the market<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014there\u2019s a chance that another NBA team will be requesting his talents soon.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>NBA to Overseas: Signings<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From veterans who get overseas deals, it\u2019s time to examine the ones who signed on the dotted line.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Frank Kaminsky<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">30-year-old center Frank Kaminsky agreed to a one-year deal with Partizan, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurohoops.net\/en\/euroleague\/1540616\/partizan-signs-nba-veteran-frank-kaminsky\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">according to Eurohoops.net<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Kaminsky spent eight years in the NBA, playing mainly for the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/teams\/CHA\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Charlotte Hornets<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Suns<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">before brief stops with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/teams\/ATL\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Atlanta Hawks<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/teams\/HOU\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Houston Rockets<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Throughout his career, he averaged 8.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Ed Davis<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Sunday, 6-foot-10 big man Ed Davis put pen to paper on a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/en\/xinjiang-flying-tigers-inks-ed-davis\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">contract with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Chinese Basketball Association. Davis recently played for the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2021-22 season. Drafted 13th overall from UNC in 2010, he played 12 years in the NBA across eight different franchises. Davis averaged 5.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while shooting 56% from the field.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Grant Riller<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, 26-year-old guard Grant Riller, who last played for the Hornets, inked a deal with the Beijing Fighters of the CBA. Riller, the 56th pick in 2021, only appeared in seven games.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2021, Riller dealt with numerous injuries while on a two-way contract with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/teams\/PHI\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Philadelphia 76ers<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. He suffered a torn meniscus in October and underwent shoulder surgery in December. Riller never suited up for the Sixers, who waived him in December.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He spent two seasons in the G League (2020-21 and 2022-23) and averaged 18.8 points and 3.7 assists per game on 51\/38\/81 splits. Riller\u2019s contract with Beijing includes an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hoopshype.com\/rumor\/1352150\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cNBA-out clause,\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which would allow him to leave the CBA if he receives an offer from an NBA franchise.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>More NBA Players are Going Abroad<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/5s5LaIll78s\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">last few years<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it appears more notable names are <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hoopshype.com\/lists\/international-transactions-log-where-are-former-nba-players-going\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">making the jump from the NBA to overseas clubs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. One of the most prominent examples is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/howardw01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Dwight Howard<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who has burst onto the Taiwanese basketball scene after a star-studded 18-year NBA career.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Howard explained his decision in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/F9g8ycx2B1I?t=165\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an interview on the \u201cMy Expert Opinion Show\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, hosted by MC and rapper Math Hoffa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI was like, \u2018Man, I want to try something different,\u2019\u201d Howard said. \u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to play in a different country, but being in the NBA, it\u2019s not possible. There\u2019s nothing else I have to prove in the NBA. So why not go somewhere else and meet some fans that would never see me play basketball in person unless they\u2019re in the States?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt was the best decision I made,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt rejuvenated me. They\u2019d be following not only Davis\u2019s lead but also <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/walkeke02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Kemba Walker<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s, who <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/2023\/07\/21\/former-celtics-guard-kemba-walker-signs-with-as-monaco\/\" target=\"_self\">signed with AS Monaco earlier this summer<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurohoops.net\/en\/euroleague\/1540330\/kemba-walker-wants-to-help-euroleague-grow-bigger\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recent interview with Eurohoops.net<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Walker expressed his desire about promoting the Euroleague to a wider audience.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;I hope I can help increase the notoriety of the EuroLeague.
