South Carolina upset 2nd seeded Duke Blue Devils 88-81 to head to the Sweet Sixteen.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the second round matchup recaps from Sunday March 19, 2017:<\/p>\n<h4>Sunday March 19, 2017 &#8211;<\/h4>\n<h4>Bok Center &#8211; Tulsa, Oklahoma<br \/>\n11 &#8211; USC Trojans (26-9)\u00a0&#8211; 78<br \/>\n3 &#8211; \u00a0Baylor Bears (27-7) &#8211;\u00a082<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/johnathan-motley-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Johnathan Motley<\/a> scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help Baylor defeat USC 82-78. Terry Maston also scored 19 points and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/king-mcclure-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">King McClure<\/a> scored 17 points. In the final five minutes, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/manu-lecomte-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Manu Lecomte<\/a> scored all 12 of his points to help seal the win.<\/p>\n<p>Lecomte scored eight points in 45 seconds to give Baylor a 73-67 lead. Baylor never relinquished the lead the rest of the game. USC was led by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/chimezie-metu-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chimezie Metu<\/a> who scored 28 points. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/bennie-boatwright-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bennie Boatwright<\/a> scored 16 points.<\/p>\n<p>Baylor go on to meet the South Carolina Game Cocks in the Sweet Sixteen.<\/p>\n<h4>Sunday March 19, 2017 &#8211;<\/h4>\n<h4>Bon Secours Wellness Arena &#8211; Greenville, South Carolina<\/h4>\n<h4>7 &#8211; South Carolina Game Cocks (24-10) &#8211; 88<br \/>\n2 &#8211; Duke Blue Devils (28-8) &#8211; 81<\/h4>\n<p>The South Carolina Game Cocks came back furiously from a first half deficit of 30-23 to upset a heavily favored Duke team 88-81. The Game Cocks scored 65 points in the second half to only 51 for the Blue Devils.<\/p>\n<p>South Carolina was led by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/sindarius-thornwell-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sindarius Thornwell<\/a> who scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/chris-silva-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chris Silva<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/duane-notice-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Duane Notice<\/a> both scored 17 points. Silva also added 10 rebounds. The Game Cocks took advantage of Duke\u2019s 18 turnovers.<\/p>\n<p>Duke were led by 20 points from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/grayson-allen-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grayson Allen<\/a>. Four other Duke starters scored in double digits. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/amile-jefferson-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amile Jefferson<\/a> had a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.<\/p>\n<p>South Carolina goes on to meet Baylor Bears in the Sweet Sixteen.<br \/>\nHere are the second round matchup recaps from Saturday March 18, 2017:<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, in the first big upset, the Wisconsin Badgers upset the top ranked Villanova Wildcats 65-62 to head to the Sweet Sixteen. \u00a0Florida Gators dominated their match up against the Virginia Cavaliers and won 65-39 returning to the Sweet Sixteen.<\/p>\n<h4>Saturday March 18, 2017 &#8211;<br \/>\nFirst Niagra Center &#8211; Buffalo, New York<br \/>\n1 &#8211; Villanova Wildcats (31-3) &#8211; 62<br \/>\n8 &#8211; Wisconsin Badgers (27-9) &#8211; 65<\/h4>\n<p>Wisconsin defeated Villanova 65-62. The Badgers over-came foul trouble for two of its star players to upset the defending champions. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/nigel-hayes-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nigel Hayes<\/a> scored 19 points and made a nifty layup in traffic with 11.4 seconds left. Brandon Koenig was in foul trouble, but managed 17 points. The Badgers also over-came 14 turnovers compared to Wildcats eight.<\/p>\n<p>The Wildcats were led by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/josh-hart-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Hart<\/a> who scored 19 points. Hart was stripped on a drive in the final seconds to seal the win for Wisconsin.
