In the Regular Season and the Playoffs, the Knicks’ biggest concern was their lack of perimeter shooting. They failed to make open three-point shots at a consistent rate. Therefore, their signings revolved around this deficiency and tried to solve it. Now, Donte addresses the problem for the Knicks. He was an\u00a0<\/span>excellent three-point shooter this past season at Golden State<\/span><\/a>. DiVincenzo shot 39.7% from three-point range this past season. He also made <\/span>2.1 threes a game, tied for the highest<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for his career.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To point this into context, the Knicks\u00a0<\/span>were 24th in three-point shooting percentage<\/span><\/a>. It was more of an issue in the playoffs. The Knicks only shot 29.2%\u00a0<\/span>from three-point<\/span><\/a>\u00a0range,\u00a0<\/span>the worst<\/span><\/a> out of any team in the postseason. Therefore, DiVincenzo addresses that problem and is a stepping stone to helping the Knicks fix this concern.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jalen Brunson proved in the postseason that he is an elite guard in this league. As a result, he needs players to play off of him effectively. Donte is one of those players, as he succeeded in playing with Brunson in college. They won two National Championships <\/span>together at Villanova<\/span><\/a>, proving winning is possible with these players added together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is a Winner<\/span><\/h4>\n

Donte is a winner. Not only did he win a National Championships in college, but he also\u00a0<\/span>won an NBA Finals<\/span><\/a>\u00a0with the Bucks in 2021. The Knicks are\u00a0<\/span>moving in a good direction<\/span><\/a>, as they got by the First Round for the first time since 2013. Donte has been a part of the Warriors, so he understands success and how to act as a winning role player in the NBA. Having experience and producing legitimate success with it allows teams to benefit. Donte is a winner, and the Knicks can become winners.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Donte DiVincenzo is an excellent addition to NY. He adds shooting, toughness, and winning DNA. He also has chemistry with Hart and Brunson.
