However, it\u2019s nice to check in on NBA mock drafts every few weeks or so. That\u2019s where I come in. I have done all the research for your occasional NBA draft tune-in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the second version of my five-series <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/2023\/04\/16\/rex-fosters-2023-nba-mock-draft-1-0\/\" target=\"_self\">mock draft<\/a>. Thank you for checking this out, and I hope you enjoy it (or maybe learn something!)<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>Rex Foster&#8217;s 2023 NBA Mock Draft 2.0<\/h1>\n<h3>The Top Five<\/h3>\n<h4><strong>1. Detroit Pistons<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Victor Wemanyama | Center | France | 18 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7\u20194 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/duranke01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Durant<\/a> <\/strong>with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/goberru01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rudy Gobert\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> shot blocking<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Detroit wins the Wemby sweepstakes in this mock draft! Simply from a roster standpoint, I believe Detroit is the best fit for Wembanyama. The 7\u20194 Frenchman joins <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/cunnica01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cade Cunningham<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/i\/iveyja01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaden Ivey<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/durenja01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jalen Duren<\/a><\/strong> to form a very promising young Pistons core.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>2. San Antonio Spurs<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scoot Henderson | Guard | G-League Ignite | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/rosede01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derrick Rose<\/a><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I view Scoot Henderson&#8217;s fit with San Antonio to be somewhat comparable to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/e\/edwaran01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anthony Edwards<\/a> and Minnesota. Two hyper-athletic scorers made for primetime television, only to get drafted by small-market franchises. Adding Henderson to the Spurs roster finally gives San Antonio an identity for their future.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>3. Orlando Magic<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brandon Miller | Forward | Alabama | 20 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slightly lengthier <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/georgpa01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paul George<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By drafting Miller, Orlando now has three wings who can all play alongside each other. Miller can space the floor for reigning rookie of the year <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/banchpa01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paolo Banchero<\/a><\/strong>, while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wagnefr01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Franz Wagner<\/a><\/strong> can provide playmaking potential. Miller is a high-level scorer who is a match-made-in-heaven pairing alongside Banchero.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>4. Charlotte Hornets<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amen Thompson | Guard | Overtime Elite | 20 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/moranja01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ja Morant<\/a><\/strong> (simply from an athleticism standpoint)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Personally, I am not as high as others on Amen Thompson simply because of his poor three-point shooting. However, there is a case to be made that Thompson is the most athletic player in this draft class. Additionally, Amen has key fundamentals to become a solid defender at the highest level. However, questions arise as to if he can fluidly play alongside<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/ballla01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> LaMelo Ball<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; another high-usage guard.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><\/b><b>5. Houston Rockets<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taylor Hendricks | Forward | UCF | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcdanja02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaden McDaniels<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the past few weeks, Taylor Hendrick\u2019s draft stock has taken a monumental leap. Hendrick\u2019s playstyle can fit into any NBA system with consistent 3-point shooting and a high defensive motor. If, say, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hardeja01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>James Harden<\/strong><\/a> returns to Houston this summer, Hendricks would space the floor alongside Harden and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/greenja05.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jalen Green<\/a><\/strong>. Hendricks is the player that championship-caliber teams crave.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>6. Portland Trail Blazers<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cam Whitmore | Forward | Villanova | 18 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/anunoog01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">O.G Anunoby<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whitmore carries a trait that gives me confidence that he can have a 13+ year career &#8211; competitiveness. As an explosive athlete, Whitmore can drive inside the paint with ease and is an offensive rebounding threat. There is a good possibility that Portland might trade their lottery pick, but Whitmore would fit well alongside a budding backcourt of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/simonan01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anfernee Simons<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/sharpsh01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shaedon Sharpe<\/a><\/strong>, and (possibly) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/lillada01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Damian Lillard<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>7. Indiana Pacers<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jarace Walker | Forward | Houston | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/randlju01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Julius Randle<\/a><\/strong> (but more careful with the basketball)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Similar to Portland, the Pacers already have their backcourt of the future set in stone. Being a strong forward, Walker has the positional versatility to fit in smaller lineups. Walker also has tremendous pick &amp; roll potential to pair with dynamic cornerstone point-guard <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/halibty01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyrese Haliburton<\/a><\/strong>. I would be happy with Indiana selecting any of the previous three picks in Hendricks, Whitmore, or Walker, as they all serve as key fits to this young, budding roster.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>8. Washington Wizards<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ausar Thompson | Guard | Overtime Elite | 20 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">76ers<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/i\/iguodan01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andre Igoudala<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like my first mock draft, I have Ausar Thompson landing at 8 to the Wizards. At first, I was more critical of this fit, but after more thought and consideration &#8211; I really like this pairing. Across the NBA draft community, Thompson has received comparisons to (young) Andre Iguodala &#8211; a high IQ player with elite athleticism and defensive prowess. Washington seems pretty keen on pushing for the playoffs, and Ausar can be a good addition if all works out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>9. Utah Jazz<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cason Wallace | Guard | Kentucky | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/holidjr01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jrue Holiday<\/a><\/strong> (but a pinch shorter)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s list a few Kentucky guards drafted since 2015. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/gilgesh01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shai Gilgeous-Alexander<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/f\/foxde01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">De\u2019Aaron Fox<\/a><\/strong>,<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bookede01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Devin Booker<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/murraja01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jamal Murray<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/maxeyty01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyrese Maxey<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/q\/quickim01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Immanuel Quickley<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/herroty01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyler Herro<\/a><\/strong>. The Utah Jazz are in prime position to draft the next dynamic Kentucky guard. However, there\u2019s more reason to get excited about Wallace other than his alma mater&#8217;s proven success in developing elite NBA talent. Wallace is a demanding off-defender on and off of the ball who also possesses promising scoring potential.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>10. Dallas Mavericks<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dereck Lively II | Center | Duke | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hayesja02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaxson Hayes<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are many glaring holes on this Dallas roster. As a win-now team, I would suspect the Mavericks to trade this lottery selection for a 3&amp;D wing who can help provide immediately. However, if Dallas doesn\u2019t trade this pick, Lively would make a bunch of sense. Personally, I am obsessed with lengthy, shot-blocking bigs like Lively. He fills the center position that Dallas so desperately needs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>11. Orlando Magic<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gradey Dick | Wing | Kansas | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/monkma01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Malik Monk<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bogdabo02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bojan Bogdanovic<\/a> <\/strong>had a kid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More spacing! Dick is a knockdown shooter that can space the floor and move extremely well off the ball. An active cutter and 3-point shooting specialist, Dick makes perfect sense for a team like Orlando, whose offense is now centered around Paolo Banchero.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>12, Oklahoma City Thunder<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anthony Black | Guard | Arkansas | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/giddejo01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Josh Giddey<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black\u2019s value is too good to pass on for Sam Presti and the Thunder. A stealthy defender with lengthy arms, Brown can be <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">another <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">talented guard for Oklahoma City. Head coach Mark Daigneault can mix and match Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/dortlu01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lu Dort<\/a><\/strong>, and now Anthony Black in different lineups (or maybe all together with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/holmgch01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chet Holmgren<\/a><\/strong>!).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>13. Toronto Raptors<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keyonte George | Guard | Baylor | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bealbr01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bradley Beal<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This defensive-minded Toronto roster would benefit with a sparky scorer like George. With the possibility of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/v\/vanvlfr01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fred VanVleet<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/trentga02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gary Trent Jr.<\/a><\/strong> leaving this Summer, it would be smart to add a talented scorer to the backcourt.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>14. New Orleans Pelicans<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nick Smith Jr | Guard | Arkansas | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/walkelo01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lonnie Walker IV<\/a><\/strong> (with a boosted float game)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In my last mock draft, I had Toronto selecting Nick Smith and New Orleans taking George. In short, both teams would benefit from adding electric scoring to the backcourt. Personally, I prefer George over Smith Jr simply because of Smith\u2019s underwhelming season at Arkansas. Regardless, he is a solid late-lottery pick for a bland Pelicans backcourt.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>2023 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: Middle of the First (15-23)<b><\/b><\/h2>\n<h4><b>15. Atlanta Hawks<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brice Sensabaugh | Forward | Ohio State | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/reddmi01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Redd<\/a><\/strong> (minus the wonky shot release)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If Atlanta decides to move forward with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/y\/youngtr01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trae Young<\/a><\/strong> moving into next season, Sensabaugh would be a nice floor spacer. By sending their future draft capital to San Antonio in exchange for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/murrade01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dejounte Murray<\/a> <\/strong>last summer, Atlanta really needs to hit this pick. Sensabaugh is a proven bucket-getter who will make an impact anywhere in the NBA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>16. Utah Jazz (via Minnesota Timberwolves)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maxwell Lewis | Wing | Pepperdine | 20 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/murphtr02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trey Murphy III<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lewis has one of the highest offensive ceilings in this draft class. However, Lewis is a defensive liability and needs to polish his fundamentals. A patient, rebuilding team &#8211; like Utah &#8211; could be extremely beneficial for his development to become an important piece to any NBA team.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>17. Los Angeles Lakers<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jordan Hawkins | Guard\/Wing | UConn | 21 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hamilri01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Richard Hamilton<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/jamesle01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LeBron<\/a><\/strong> loves winners in the NCAA tournament! Hawkins is also a player who can compete right away for a Lakers win-now Lakers squad. Alongside <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/reaveau01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Austin Reaves<\/a><\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/chrisma02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Max Christie<\/strong><\/a>, the Lakers have collected themselves a bunch of talented, young shooters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>18. Houston Rockets (via Los Angeles Clippers)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kobe Bufkin | Guard | Michigan | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/q\/quickim01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Immanuel Quickley<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bufkin\u2019s value is too high for the Rockets to pass on here at 20. An electric guard with a crafty handle and an elite scoring ceiling, Bufkin can become a nice spark plug for Houston. Yes, the Rockets still lack defensive prowess and size in the backcourt, but passing on Bufkin would be a mistake. Best player available &gt; fit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>21. Brooklyn Nets (via Phoenix Suns)<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leonard Miller | Forward | G-League Ignite | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stretchy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/k\/kuzmaky01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Kyle Kuzma<\/strong><\/a> with a higher defensive upside<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Around the mock draft community, there is increasing buzz that Miller could slide into the lottery. At 6\u201910, Miller has a good handle for his size and uses his size to his advantage. In the NBA, Miller can be an above-average defender and a threat when in transition for both sides of the floor. Currently, he still needs time to develop fundamentals and would benefit from more time in the G-League.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>22. Similar to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/watsope01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peyton Watson<\/a><\/strong> last year, Klintman didn\u2019t have a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">massive <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">role for his collegiate team last year. However, the potential is crystal clear. Klintman is the epitome of what NBA teams look for in players with a 6 &#8217;10 frame. The Swedish forward can stretch the floor while being able to defend positions 1-5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>2023 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: Late First Round (Picks 24-30)<\/h3>\n<h4><b>24. Sacramento Kings<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kris Murray | Forward | Iowa | 22 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/murrake02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keegan Murray<\/a><\/strong> (or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/harrito02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tobias Harris<\/a><\/strong> if it cleanses your palate)\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Congruent to my previous mock draft, I had Kris Murray teaming up with his brother Keegan in Sacramento. Riding into next season with sky-high expectations, Murray fits the needs of the Kings. At 22 years old, Murray is NBA-ready and can benefit Sacramento by spacing the floor and being alert on defense.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<h4><b>25. Memphis Grizzlies<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jett Howard | Wing | Michigan | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/middlkh01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Khris Middleton<\/a><\/strong> (but even more boring)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Memphis finished 23rd in team 3-point shooting last year. Selecting Howard gives the Grizzlies a knockdown deep shooter who tries hard on defense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>26. Indiana Pacers (via Cleveland Cavaliers)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rayan Rupert | Wing | France | 19 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bridgmi01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mikal Bridges<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indiana should continue to bolster their forwards and wings this Summer. Rupert does just that with an extreme defensive upside. With a 7\u20193 wingspan, Rupert can clog passing lanes, and contest shots, and be effective in the fast break.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>27. Charlotte Hornets (via Denver Nuggets)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bilal Coulibaly | Wing | France | 18 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/johnske04.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Keldon Johnson<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Similar to Rupert, Coulibaly is a young, lengthy, intense defender. In the LaMelo Ball era, the Hornets have consistently carried one of the NBA\u2019s worst defenses. With Ball, Thompson, and now Coulibaly, Charlotte has now built a very sexy backcourt.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>28. Utah Jazz (via Philadelphia 76ers)<\/b><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">G.G Jackson | Forward | South Carolina | 18 years old<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine: <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/morrima03.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Marcus Morris<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I don\u2019t necessarily like Utah drafting two high-risk players in Maxwell Lewis and now G.G Jackson, but the value is just too high to pass on the former Gamecock.
