The <\/span>Memphis Grizzlies<\/span><\/a> didn\u2019t need to ask \u201c<\/span>Where is Ja?<\/span><\/a>\u201d as they defeated the <\/span>Los Angeles Lakers<\/span><\/a> 103-93 without star point guard <\/span>Ja Morant<\/b><\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Memphis has an established track record of winning games without Morant, and they continued that success tonight. <\/span>LeBron James<\/b><\/a> and Co. looked a step slow trying to keep up with the Grizzlies\u2019 transition attack. How did Memphis win, and what can we expect in Game 3?<\/span><\/p>\n

This game started as a rock fight. <\/span>Anthony Davis<\/b><\/a> was stellar on defense as an at-rim deterrent. The Grizzlies played tremendous team defense led by <\/span>Jaren Jackson Jr.<\/b><\/a> and kick-started their transition offense with turnovers. Memphis took a 22-11 lead with just over four minutes left in the first when <\/span>David Roddy<\/b><\/a> hit a three, then <\/span>Luke Kennard<\/b><\/a> stole the inbounds and completed a four-point play. Memphis would end the quarter up 30-19.<\/span><\/p>\n
