Adrian Wojnarowski of <em>The Vertical<\/em>\u00a0broke the news on Tuesday morning:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Orlando has agreed to trade Serge Ibaka to Toronto for Terrence Ross   and a 2017 first-round pick, league sources tell @TheVertical.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wojespn\/status\/831536258824429568?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">February 14, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"x_p1\"><strong><span class=\"x_s1\">Serge Ibaka Traded to\u00a0Toronto Raptors<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"x_p1\"><span class=\"x_s1\">Ibaka, 27, is in the final year of his contract, making him an unrestricted free agent in the coming off-season. The Magic acquired Ibaka and his $12.25 million contract in a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2016 NBA Draft. In the trade, the Magic exchanged <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/o\/oladivi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Victor Oladipo<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/i\/ilyaser01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ersan Ilyasova<\/a><\/strong>, and first-round pick <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/sabondo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Domantas Sabonis<\/a><\/strong> for Ibaka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_p1\"><span class=\"x_s1\">Ibaka, an eight-year NBA veteran, will provide the Raptors with experience and high-intensity defensive play, as well as consistency on offense. Toronto had been desperately searching for a starting power forward all season, and it looks like the Raptors have finally found one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_p1\"><span class=\"x_s1\">The 6\u201910&#8243; forward is averaging a career-high 15.1 points, as well as\u00a06.8<\/span>\u00a0rebounds per game this season. Ibaka has been impressive on both ends of the floor, averaging nearly two blocks per game and shooting a stellar 39 percent from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_p1\">For the Magic, they bring in a\u00a0couple of assets in Ross and the pick, which will be <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WojVerticalNBA\/status\/831536847859904513\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the later of two Raptors first-round picks in the upcoming draft<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_p1\"><span class=\"x_s1\">Ibaka was selected by the Thunder with the 24th overall pick of the 2008 NBA Draft. He then played one season in Spain with Ricoh Manresa, coming over to the Thunder in July\u00a02009.
