The Jazz are currently the best team in the league with 41 wins and 14 losses (as of the early afternoon on April 16).<\/p>\n<h2>Utah Jazz is now partly owned by Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade<\/h2>\n<p>Wade is a famous NBA player who made the NBA All-Star Game 13 times with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/category\/heat\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Miami Heat<\/a>. He is also a three-time NBA Champion. He played in the NBA from 2003-19. Wade was drafted fifth in the 2003 NBA Draft. He won one NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award in 2006 and won the NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player in 2010. He was also in two All-NBA First Teams, three times All-NBA Second Team, and three times All-NBA Third Team. Wade also made the NBA All-Defensive Second Team three times.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, he was the NBA scoring champion in 2009 and NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2004. He played for three teams in the NBA including the Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Chicago Bulls.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Current Ownership Group in Utah<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The current owners of the Jazz are Ryan Smith and his wife, who own the majority of the Jazz according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/nba\/article\/dwyane-wade-joins-utah-jazz-ownership-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Associated Press<\/a> since late 2020. From that same article, here is what Ryan Smith said about what Wade brings to Utah.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As we continue to build on the incredible legacy of the Utah Jazz franchise, we are excited to add Dwyane&#8217;s experience and expertise to the equation. Utah is an amazing place, and I couldn&#8217;t be more thrilled about the future of the franchise and the future of this state. Dwyane&#8217;s influence will be important to both.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wade will be a minority owner of the Jazz. He will bring needed championship experience to a franchise believing <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/2021\/02\/17\/utah-jazz-why-you-shouldnt-sleep-on-this-ball-club\/\" target=\"_self\">they can win their first-ever Larry O&#8217;Brien Championship Trophy this year<\/a>. Wade is, however, not the only current or former NBA player to currently have a stake in a team.
