Even with this, the Jazz still needed a fourth-quarter comeback and clutch free throws from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/goberru01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rudy Gobert<\/a><\/strong> to seal the victory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rookie <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/willizi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zion Williamson<\/a><\/strong> started the game for New Orleans and played 15 minutes. Before the game, Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry told the media that Williamson would play \u201cin bursts\u201d throughout Thursday\u2019s game. Williamson looked fantastic in his bursts of action and gave the Pelicans 13 points and one ferocious slam off of a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/balllo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lonzo Ball<\/a><\/strong> lob.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/redicjj01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">J.J. Redick<\/a><\/strong> continued his sharpshooting ways and added 21 points, three rebounds, and 4 assists off of the bench.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After some controversy surrounding the initial NBA shutdown, Rudy Gobert looked like his normal self on the floor. Gobert dominated inside and posted 12 rebounds and three blocks along 14 points.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Veteran <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/conlemi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Conley<\/a><\/strong> also looked comfortable in the starting role for Utah. Conley dished out four assists, scored 20 points and handled the ball on a night that <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/mitchdo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Donovan Mitchell<\/a><\/strong> struggled with his shot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mitchell shot 6 for 14 from the field and had an all-around good night, but he struggled early. Mitchell\u2019s shot picked up as the game went along, and his efforts assisted the Jazz in their 27-17 run in the fourth quarter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After Gobert went to the line with 6.9 seconds left and hit both of his free throws, the Pelicans had the ball at half court after a timeout.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Star forward <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/i\/ingrabr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brandon Ingram<\/a><\/strong> had the isolation and took the game-winning three, but unfortunately was unable to convert.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ingram still had a solid evening with 23 points, but his 2 for 8 three-point shooting performance was well below his 39 percent clip from downtown he sported this season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Up Next for the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Jazz face off against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/nba-teams\/oklahoma-city-thunder\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> in their next matchup on Saturday.\u00a0 The Pelicans will also look to knock off the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/nba-teams\/los-angeles-clippers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Clippers<\/a> on Saturday evening.
