He can become the veteran presence that will help the Hawks make a late playoff push in the Eastern Conference. Prior to the injury, Parker has been averaging 15 points, 6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals a game for the Atlanta Hawks. Parker filled in well for John Collins‘ 25-game suspension. Parker has been used in Atlanta as a power forward and playing small-ball center at times. In Sacramento, he joins the young squad of Buddy Hield, De’Aaron Fox, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Marvin Bagley III. He will compete with the other frontcourt players of the Kings; however, especially with the play of Richaun Holmes this season.

For Alex Len, it is unclear whether he will be bought out or will be a roster-filler right now. He will be a free agent next offseason anyway so it is unclear what the front office plans are for him. The center rotation for the Kings right now is filled and it is unlikely he gets minutes except when injuries happen. The Kings may clear more cap room this season especially with the impending restricted free-agency of Bogdan Bogdanovic. This is an interesting space to keep an eye on in Sacramento.

Main Photo:
Embed from Getty Images

The Atlanta Hawks continue to do business as they send Jabari Parker and Alex Len to the Sacramento Kings for Dewayne Dedmon.
