This also means the NBA <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2020\/01\/21\/nba-rumors-trade-ideas-for-derrick-rose\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">trade rumors<\/a> are heating up. One team that has surprisingly entered the contender race is the Miami Heat, who are looking to make a splash.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>NBA Trade Rumors<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Karl-Anthony Towns to the Miami Heat<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Miami Heat receive: Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Minnesota Timberwolves receive: Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, James Johnson, Meyers Leonard, KZ Okpala, 2020 1st rounder<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2019\/08\/30\/nba-tip-off-miami-heat-2019-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Miami Heat<\/a> would love to add another superstar next to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/butleji01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jimmy Butler<\/a><\/strong>, which is one of the biggest NBA trade rumors. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/townska01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Karl-Anthony Towns<\/a><\/strong> was rumored to be unhappy in Minnesota due to their inability to win games. The Heat would love to pair Towns with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/adebaba01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bam Adebayo<\/strong><\/a> which would create a lethal combination of bigs that can handle the ball, score, and rebound. They would prefer to hold onto Towns and move <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wiggian01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Wiggins<\/a><\/strong>, but Towns may not let that happen. The Wolves receive Nunn who has been outstanding in his rookie campaign, as well as several expiring contracts. Add to that a 2020 first-round pick and the Wolves can begin the rebuild with Wiggins, Nunn, and two new rookies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bogdan Bogdanovic to the Philadelphia 76ers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Philadelphia 76ers receive: Bogdan Bogdanovic, 2020 2nd round pick<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Sacramento Kings receive: Zhaire Smith, Jonah Bolden, Raul Neto, 2020 2nd round pick<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2019\/08\/29\/countdown-to-nba-tip-off-philadelphia-76ers-season-preview-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> desperately need a shooter. Since losing <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/redicjj01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">J.J. Redick<\/a><\/strong> in free agency, the offense has not looked the same. A popular shooter on the market is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bogdabo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bogdan Bogdanovic<\/a><\/strong>. He would fit nicely in the 76er rotation and bring a great scoring punch. He is also young with tons of upside. Although Philadelphia will not want to part ways with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/smithzh01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zhaire Smith<\/a><\/strong> yet, they are in win-now mode with stars in their prime.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bogdanovic will be a free agent next year. It would be wise to acquire a promising young guard in Zhaire Smith who will finally have room to grow. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/boldejo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jonah Bolden<\/a><\/strong> has shown flashes as a rotational big and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/n\/netora01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Raul Neto<\/a><\/strong> is on an expiring contract.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>NBA Trade Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Add a Play-maker<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Los Angeles Lakers receive: Denzel Valentine<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Chicago Bulls receive: Quinn Cook and 2022 2nd round pick<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2019\/08\/25\/countdown-to-nba-tipoff-los-angeles-lakers-season-preview\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> have been searching for another play-maker off the bench. They are restricted in the moves they can make, but this is a great opportunity to buy low on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/v\/valende01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Denzel Valentine<\/a><\/strong>. Valentine can be another ball-handler and play-maker off the bench to help take some of that load off of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/rondora01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rajon Rondo<\/a><\/strong>. While it is not a flashy move, it may help put the Lakers over the top. It is a no-risk, high reward type play.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2019\/08\/27\/countdown-to-nba-tip-off-chicago-bulls-season-preview-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chicago Bulls<\/a> seem ready to move on from Valentine. They have made it clear that he is not part of their future with all of the Did Not Play- Coach\u2019s Decisions he has been racking up. Receiving anything in return is a bonus. Here they get <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/cookqu01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quinn Cook<\/a><\/strong> who has shown an ability to score off the bench but is also on a short, small contract so he does not affect any future plans.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Myles Turner Blockbuster\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Atlanta Hawks receive: Myles Turner, Rodions Kurucz, and Dzanan Musa<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Indiana Pacers receive: DeAndre Bembry, Evan Turner, Damian Jones, Joe Harris, and Atlanta 2020 1st rounder<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Brooklyn Nets receive: Jabari Parker, Doug McDermott, Atlanta 2020 1st rounder via Brooklyn<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2019\/08\/23\/countdown-to-nba-tip-off-atlanta-hawks-season-preview-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Atlanta Hawks<\/a> finally get their center. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/turnemy01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Myles Turner<\/a><\/strong> fits perfectly next to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/collijo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Collins<\/a><\/strong> and brings a <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2019\/12\/18\/atlanta-hawks-facing-early-struggles\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rim protector that Atlanta desperately needs<\/a>. At this point, they may build him a statue before he plays a game. They do part ways with both first-round picks in this deal, but that is not the worst idea. The team is already very young and they have plenty of money for free agency to sure up the rotation with some veterans. The important thing is Myles Turner is exactly what the doctor ordered. Additionally, they gain two nice rotational pieces in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/k\/kurucro01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rodions Kurucs<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/musadz01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dzanan Musa<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2019\/08\/21\/countdown-to-nba-tip-off-indiana-pacers-season-preview-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Indiana Pacers<\/a> fully commit to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/sabondo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Domantas Sabonis<\/a><\/strong> as the center. They receive <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bembrde01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DeAndre&#8217; Bembry<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/turneev01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Evan Turner<\/a><\/strong> who can make plays off the bench in that <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/e\/evansty01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyreke Evans<\/a><\/strong> role from last season. Every player they receive in this deal is on an expiring contract. Finally, the crown jewel is the Hawks 2020 first-round pick. Adding a likely top-five pick to Oladipo, Brogdon, and Sabonis is excellent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2019\/08\/24\/nba-brooklyn-nets-season-preview\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brooklyn Nets<\/a> receive\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/p\/parkeja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jabari Parker<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcderdo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doug McDermott<\/a><\/strong>. Parker will be a free agent next year and Brooklyn needs scoring this year while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/duranke01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Durant<\/a><\/strong> is sidelined. According to LWOS sources, Parker is dissatisfied with his role after the return of John Collins and is looking for a new home. Additionally, McDermott is under contract next season, unlike Harris, to help space the floor for Durant and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/i\/irvinky01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kyrie Irving<\/a><\/strong>.
