The difference in talent was apparent in this game. It&#8217;s not often that one team dominates another in this rivalry but that was the case on Saturday night.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Four Wildcat freshmen accounted for 49 of the 75 points. Those four freshmen outscored the Sun Devils. Although it\u2019s just one game, this game showed the difference between a Pac-12 title contender and a pretender.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Game Recap<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arizona controlled this game from the start and their largest lead was 32 points as they got an easy win at the Mckale Center Saturday night in Tucson. This is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=sean-miller-1,sean-miller-3,sean-miller-2&amp;search=Sean+Miller&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sean Miller<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s best recruiting class at Arizona and it showed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/zeke-nnaji-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zeke Nnaji<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/josh-green-2.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Green<\/a><\/strong> had very efficient games. Nnaji had 17 points on 7-11 from the field while grabbing 11 rebounds and two steals. Meanwhile, Green scored 12 points on five of nine from the field and also had seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Guards <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/nico-mannion-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nico Mannion<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/dylan-smith-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dylan Smith<\/a><\/strong> combined to score 20 points.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just like the last time the Sun Devils played they were the underdog. Sun Devils players struggled to produce.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/remy-martin-2.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Remy Martin<\/a> <\/strong>scored 20 points while making just seven of his 19 field goal attempts. Two Arizona State starters,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/romello-white-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Romello White<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/taeshon-cherry-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Taeshon Cherry<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0scored zero points. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/alonzo-vergejr-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alonzo Verge Jr.<\/a> <\/strong>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/kimani-lawrence-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Kimani Lawrence<\/strong><\/a> both scored eight points. This game seemed too big for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/jalen-house-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaelen House<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0as he only totaled three points making just one shot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The Difference<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arizona dominated inside the paint, outscoring Arizona State 50-18, as well as fastbreak points, 25-9. Neither team shot well from the free-throw line. Arizona State shot 43 percent compared to 50 percent for Arizona. The Sun Devils missed their first six free throws. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Wildcats shot almost 48 percent from the field while the Sun Devils shot 30.5 percent from the field. Arizona\u2019s advantage in size was the main reason they outrebounded the Sun Devils 49-35 and their superior guard play was why they accounted for 17 assists compared to Arizona State\u2019s two assists.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Looking Ahead<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arizona has a big game against Oregon in Eugene, Thursday night.
