The Utah Jazz<\/a> and forward\u00a0Joe Ingles<\/a><\/strong> have agreed on a one-year extension worth $14 million. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Australia native is under contract through the 2021-22 season. Ingles, 32, signed a front-loaded four-year $52 million contract.<\/p>\n

This signing comes on a day when a plethora of other players received extensions. Ingles is coming off his best season in the NBA. He set career highs in points at 12.1 per game and assists at 5.7 per game. Ingles shot 44 percent from three-point range in the 2017-18 season, though he regressed last season. Many teams keyed in on him at the number two option behind the budding superstar, Donovan Mitchell<\/a><\/strong>. Ingles is currently ninth among active players with a 40.8 percent rate from distance.<\/p>\n

As Ingles gets older, his “three-and-D” presence is still felt through the league. Last season, He averaged 1.2 steals per game. His ability to stay on the court and able to play both sides of the court has made him invaluable to the Jazz.<\/p>\n
