As the first sets of NBA power rankings are being released, post-free agency, how do teams stack up with one and other?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>NBA Power Rankings<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>30. Charlotte Hornets<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/charlotte-hornets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charlotte Hornets<\/a> are at the bottom of the NBA power rankings. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/jordami01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Jordan<\/a><\/strong> may be an amazing basketball player, but he struggles as a front office executive. The Hornets lost many pieces, most noticeably star point guard\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/walkeke02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kemba Walker<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They did replace him with a disgruntled\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/roziete01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terry Rozier<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">however. This Hornets team will be bad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>29. Cleveland Cavaliers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poor <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/cleveland-cavaliers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a> fans. If you actually still support the Cavaliers and didn&#8217;t jump on the bandwagon to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/los-angeles-lakers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Lakers<\/a>, you deserve better than this. They made a questionable move by selecting a point guard last year in the NBA draft in<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/sextoco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0Collin Sexton<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">l and then selecting a point guard in the NBA draft again this year in\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/garlada01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Darius Garland<\/a>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The hope is that they will be able to play together. The Cavaliers should look to trade <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/loveke01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Love<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>as he doesn&#8217;t fit their timeline.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>28. New York Knicks<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why are the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/new-york-knicks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Knicks<\/a> so low in the NBA power rankings?<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Another free agency year passed with the Knicks failing to sign a top-flight free agent. The hope for Knicks fan is James Dolan decides to sell the team soon. They did, at least, pick up a solid player in free agency,\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/randlju01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Julius<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/randlju01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Randle<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>27. Memphis Grizzlies<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/memphis-grizzlies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> traded away\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/conlemi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Conley<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and replaced him with rookie\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/moranja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ja Morant<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This team seems to be set up entirely for the future. The duo of Morant and\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=jacksja01,jacksja02&amp;search=Jaren+Jackson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaren Jackson<\/a><\/strong> Jr. wi<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ll be something to behold of in the future. Although the future is bright in Memphis, Grizzlies fans need to accept their fate of being in the lottery.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>26. Oklahoma City Thunder<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/georgpa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paul George<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">trade shocked everyone. Nonetheless, that one decision is what changed the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/oklahoma-city-thunder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oklahoma City Thunder&#8217;s<\/a> direction for years to come. While everyone thought <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/westbru01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Russell Westbrook<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was going to be a Thunder for life, he too got shipped out to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/houston-rockets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Houston Rockets<\/a> to reunite with\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hardeja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">James Harden<\/a><\/strong>.<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The Best case scenario for the Thunder, is they find a trade for\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/p\/paulch01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chris Paul<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0and get even more assets in return.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>25. Phoenix Suns<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember when <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=bookede01,bookede02&amp;search=Devin+Booker&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Devin Booker<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said he was done with not making the playoffs? Well, barring a trade, he is not going to the playoffs. It&#8217;s not his fault either. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/phoenix-suns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Phoenix Suns<\/a> organization is very poorly run. Maybe in later years, the team will learn to play together more, but as of right now, it&#8217;s not looking good.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>24. Chicago Bulls<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yet another team with a bright future. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/chicago-bulls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chicago Bulls<\/a> have a bevy of high potential young players such as\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/lavinza01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zach LaVine<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/markkla01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lauri<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/markkla01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong> Markkanen<\/strong><\/a>. However, a<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0few more years of rebuilding should be expected with this young of a team.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>23. Washington Wizards<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bealbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bradley Beal<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0trade rumors are still running rampant, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/washington-wizards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Washington Wizards<\/a> franchise is left with no other choice than to rebuild. <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/walljo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Wall<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is coming back from a serious injury and will most likely not look like his old, explosive self. The best plan of action is to trade the two and try to maximize the profits in return.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>22. Orlando Magic<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/orlando-magic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Orlando Magic<\/a> have been improving in recent years but still nowhere near title contention. Hopefully, for their sake, <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/f\/fultzma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Markelle Fultz<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can go reach his potential as a number one pick while combining that with the exciting play of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/gordoaa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaron Gordon<\/a><\/strong> and the growth of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/i\/isaacjo01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jonathan Isaac<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>21. Minnesota Timberwolves<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/minnesota-timberwolves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> made a splash in the NBA draft by trading up to the sixth pick to select <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/culveja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jarrett Culver<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Now, with <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/townska01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Karl-Anthony Towns<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> coming off another year in the league, the Timberwolves will improve. The ceiling of their improvement will be gauged on the development of <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wiggian01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Wiggins<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If he can get to his true level this year, they should be higher on the mid-season power rankings.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>20. Atlanta Hawks<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/y\/youngtr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trae Young<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0had an amazing year for the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/atlanta-hawks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Atlanta Hawks<\/a> last year, as well as <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/collijo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Collins<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Adding <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/reddica01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cam Reddish<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to the team will even further improve the team&#8217;s three-point shooting. This is going to be a Hawks team to look out for in years to come. This will be the first year that they all play together, and through that, they will gain chemistry together to become a bigger threat in the future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>19. New Orleans Pelicans<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/new-orleans-pelicans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New Orleans Pelicans<\/a> team won the <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/willizi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zion Williamson<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lottery. They also received a good package of <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/balllo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lonzo Ball<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/i\/ingrabr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brandon Ingram<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hartjo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Hart<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the Lakers in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/davisan02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anthony Davis<\/a><\/strong> trade. That&#8217;s a lot of young, unmolded talent on the team. If Williamson lives up to the hype, they might make the playoffs.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>18. Detroit Pistons<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The addition of <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/rosede01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derrick Rose<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">should help the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/detroit-pistons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Detroit Pistons<\/a> out in the upcoming season. <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/griffbl01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blake Griffin<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> finally gets some help with this team, and they should be a decent seven or eight seed in the East.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>17. Dallas Mavericks<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coming off of his rookie of the year season with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/dallas-mavericks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dallas Mavericks<\/a>, <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/doncilu01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Luka Doncic<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Latvian center <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/p\/porzikr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kristaps Porzingis<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will make an interesting European duo in Dallas. They have a shot to be a playoff team, maybe better depending on Porzingis&#8217; comeback from his injury.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>16. San Antonio Spurs<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/san-antonio-spurs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">San Antonio Spurs<\/a> will be a team to watch next year. <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/walkelo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lonnie Walker<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will have a more solidified role in the organization and <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/derozde01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DeMar DeRozan<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be more motivated than ever to win a title seeing as his old team, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/toronto-raptors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Toronto Raptors<\/a> win it last season.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>15. Miami Heat<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The acquisition of <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/butleji01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jimmy Butler<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be a great addition to this <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/miami-heat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Miami Heat<\/a> team. They also traded <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/whiteha01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hassan Whiteside<\/a>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which sets the stage for <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/adebaba01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bam Adebayo<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to have a breakout year. Rumors are swirling around about a possible Bradley Beal trade. If that happens, it makes the situation more interesting.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>14. Sacramento Kings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A breakout year by <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/f\/foxde01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">De&#8217;Aaron Fox<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> left the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/sacramento-kings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sacramento Kings<\/a> on the brink of the playoffs, and have them perhaps, a little higher in the NBA power rankings than expected. One more year of improvement from him and <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/baglema01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marvin Bagley<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> makes the team a playoff contender. If other role players come through when they are needed, the Kings will be a six to seven seed in the West.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>13. Toronto Raptors\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/toronto-raptors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Toronto Raptors<\/a> lost <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/leonaka01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kawhi Leonard<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> this summer, but they still retained most of their key pieces. This includes breakout player <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/siakapa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pascal Siakam<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. With Siakam being the primary option this upcoming year, look for him to average about 20 points per game. They should still be in the playoffs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>12. Indiana Pacers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The addition of former rookie of the year<\/span>\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/brogdma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Malcolm Brogdon<\/a><\/b> should prove to be an exciting addition for <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/indiana-pacers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Indiana Pacers<\/a> fans. Losing both\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/matthwe02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wesley Matthews<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and <b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/e\/evansty01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyreke Evans<\/a><\/b> hurts this team for sure, but <b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/o\/oladivi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Victor Oladipo<\/a><\/b> is back. He should be as motivated as ever and for sure is ready to lead this team to a high playoff berth.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>11. Golden State Warriors<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Losing <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/duranke01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Durant<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will take a toll on any team. But losing <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/thompkl01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Klay Thompson<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for most of the year will also affect this team. <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/curryst01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stephen Curry<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> cannot do it all by himself. That&#8217;s why the <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/golden-state-warriors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Golden State Warriors<\/a> traded for <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/russeda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D&#8217;Angelo Russell<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The fit of Curry and Russell is a questionable one, however, they should be able to figure it out throughout the regular season.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>10. Brooklyn Nets<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/brooklyn-nets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brooklyn Nets<\/a> made arguably the biggest splash in the NBA Free-Agency by signing both <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/i\/irvinky01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kyrie Irving<\/a><\/strong> and Kevin Durant. Durant will be out for most of the year though, and as we have seen from last year, Irving is not a good leader. Until Durant comes back, this team will not be championship contenders.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>9. Utah Jazz<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/utah-jazz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Utah Jazz<\/a>\u00a0won 50 games last season. Now they added <\/span>Mike Conley <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to support their defensive player of the year\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/goberru01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rudy Gobert<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This team would be higher up, but their bench is of concern. They need to improve that before they can go any further.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>8. Boston Celtics\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The addition of\u00a0<\/span>Kemba Walker\u00a0is a big one for the\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/boston-celtics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston Celtics.<\/a>\u00a0They signed a perfect replacement for Irving. They replaced <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/horfoal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Al Horford<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/k\/kanteen01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Enes Kanter<\/a>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who is a very good scoring big man. Second-round pick <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/e\/edwarca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carsen Edwards<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been dominating in the Summer League. Add <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/langfro01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Romeo Langford<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/willigr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grant Williams<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> into the mix to support <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/tatumja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jayson Tatum<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/brownja02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaylen Brown<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the Celtics have a great foundation to try to compete.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>7. Portland Trail Blazers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019-nba-draft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Portland Trailblazers<\/a> still have a clutch,\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/lillada01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Damian Lillard<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. They get back <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/n\/nurkiju01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jusuf Nurkic<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from his injury. Oh yeah, and they added Hassan Whiteside. This team should definitely go deep into the playoffs and could compete for an NBA championship.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>6. Philadelphia 76ers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/philadelphia-76ers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> lost Jimmy Butler and <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/redicjj01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">J.J. Redick<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. They signed Al Horford and\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/harrito02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tobias Harris<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and received<\/span><b>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/richajo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Richardson<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a sign and trade from Miami. The depth on this team is absolutely incredible. The final piece for them is to add more shooting.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>5. Denver Nuggets<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/denver-nuggets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Denver Nuggets<\/a> are young and hungry.\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/murraja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jamal Murray<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/jokicni01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nikola Jokic<\/a>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/millspa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paul Millsap<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will lead this team through the West with ease. The home crowds should fuel them a lot as well. With all of their young pieces and an impressive season last year that they can build on, has them in contention for an NBA championship.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>4. Houston Rockets<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Houston Rockets have <\/span>James Harden<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Russell Westbrook. If they learn to share the ball, they&#8217;re championship contenders. If they don&#8217;t, it&#8217;s going to be a problem. They have chemistry from their Thunder days, which should help. The Rockets will need to rely less on isolation plays and on more ball movement, but Mike D&#8217;antoni&#8217;s system is based a lot on isolation. The Rockets have the potential to be title contenders but they need to figure out how to play together.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>3. Milwaukee Bucks<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnba.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/nba-teams\/milwaukee-bucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> should be at the top of the Eastern Conference standings this year. <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/antetgi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won the MVP and is only bound to get better in the coming years. They signed <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/k\/korveky01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kyle Korver<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to improve shooting, after losing Malcolm Brogdon. The Bucks are still the number one team in the East.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>2. Los Angeles Lakers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Los Angeles Lakers\u00a0now have a star duo in\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/jamesle01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LeBron James<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span>Anthony Davis, i<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">f they mesh well together, the Lakers will be title contenders. They also re-signed <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/rondora01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rajon Rondo<\/a>, <\/b>and added\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/couside01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DeMarcus Cousins<\/a> <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/greenda02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Danny Green<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so depth should not be an issue.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>1.
