In 75 games (19 starts) for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, he put up 13.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 0.9 steals. He also shot 45% from the field, 33.4% from deep and 84% from the free-throw line. After being acquired by the Sixers at last year\u2019s deadline, Grimes erupted for an average of 21.9 points per game on .469\/.373\/.752 splits. He looks to bring that same efficiency and defensive effort to a supporting cast that notoriously lacked capable two-way players. At 26 years old, he also fits the team\u2019s current timeline to a tee, making the four-year deal an intriguing yet relatively valuable investment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"max-width: 800px\"><smartframe-embed class=\"smartframe_wp_element\" customer-id=\"b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf\" image-id=\"WmOBzRdi8ILr\" style=\"width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 5000px; aspect-ratio: 5000\/3333;\" ><\/smartframe-embed><\/p>\n<h3>Collin Sexton<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A veteran combo guard who transitioned into a reserve role, Sexton brings a similar scoring prowess while helping the Lakers\u2019 playmaking\u2014a vital fix given Smart\u2019s departure. In 68 games (22 starts) between the Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls, he averaged 15.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He also shot 48.5% from the field, 40.1% from 3-point range and 85.5% from the free-throw line, efficiency that should elevate a second unit that <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/stats\/teams\/traditional?SeasonType=Regular%20Season&amp;StarterBench=Bench&amp;amp;SeasonType=Playoffs&amp;amp;dir=-1&amp;dir=A&amp;sort=PTS\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">struggled to score<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at various points of the campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The former eighth overall pick enters his fourth team in nine seasons, though he\u2019s proven to be a steady presence in the backcourt throughout his career.
