Amid a barrage of new additions around <\/span>Luka Doncic<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Austin Reaves<\/span><\/a>, the Los Angeles Lakers have found their backup five in <\/span>Sandro Mamukelashvili<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania<\/span><\/a>, Mamu intends to join the Lakers on a four-year, $52 million deal. A breakout big man who thrived up north, he capitalizes on a career campaign to bring much-needed stability to the purple and gold.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Athletic\u2019s Dan Woike<\/span><\/a> reported Monday night that Mamukelashvili became a name to watch for LA.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Mamukelashvili declined his $2.8 million option with the Raptors Monday, with league sources believing he could command $10 million or more in free agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s coming off a career season in Toronto, when he averaged 11.2 points and 4.9 rebounds over 80 games with the Raptors, making 38.9 percent of his 3.7 3-point attempts per game.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
