All told, nine international players are draft-eligible, including some automatically eligible players. Who will be selected in the 2026 draft?

Having nine international players remaining in the 2026 NBA draft is shocking, as last year saw a record 25 foreign-born players selected. Some of those players were also college entrants, which will be the case this year as well. However, 13 of the 25 international players selected last year came from international teams.

Mexico’s Karim Lopez is the most notable prospect in this draft, as he is projected to be a potential lottery pick. Suigo, who was seen as a late first-round-to-early second-round pick, will attend Villanova this year in hopes of developing into a lottery pick. The 19-year-old spoke with Sky Sports about his decision.

“Unfortunately, two or three days before the draft combine, I sprained my ankle in practice. The 19-year-old Mexican native is projected to be a lottery selection, though it is conceivable he could drop to the late teens due to his athleticism, length, and pro experience.

Lopez has spent the last two years playing in the Australian NBL for New Zealand. Lopez made considerable strides, averaging 11.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks in 30 appearances. His biggest improvement was in efficiency as he shot 49.4% from the field and 32.2% from the 3-point line while nearly one in three a game. He produced two double-doubles and scored in double figures 19 times, tallying a career-high 32 points against Melbourne United at the end of January.

Lopez is a smart, athletic, physical 6-8 forward with a 6-11.5 wingspan and weighs 222 pounds. Lopez is at his best when getting to the rim, whether on drives or moving off the ball. He does a good job seeking and finishing through contact, though his perimeter shooting is a weakness. Amini has proven to be an efficient scorer in the paint with a soft touch from mid-range. He also does a good job at attacking closeouts and has shown playmaking ability. Additionally, he scored in double figures 10 times, topping the 20-point mark twice.

Dos Santos is an aggressive two-guard whose best attribute is his floor-spacing ability. Dos Santos, who has deep range and a quick release, made at least one triple in 15 games with five multiple three-point contests this past season. However, he doesn’t have great touch around the rim and needs to add strength.

Dos Santos could earn a two-way contract with a strong performance in Summer League or training camp.
