With the first four games of the season under her belt, there is a lot of excitement surrounding the superstar.

Caitlin Clark Off to a Scorching Start in the 2026 WNBA Season

In the Indiana Fever’s season debut against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings, Caitlin Clark recorded 20 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. Although the Fever came up short, Clark gave them a strong chance to open up the season with a win. The entire game was back-and-forth in a battle between two former No. 1 overall picks.

In the second game of the season against the Los Angeles Sparks, Clark recorded 24 points, four rebounds, and nine assists. On the defensive end, the point guard had two steals and a block. This balanced effort helped lead the Fever to their first win of the season, 87-78.

On Friday, May 15, the Fever took on the Washington Mystics. After trailing by as many as 14 points, they clawed their way out of the deficit, forcing overtime with a wild 3-pointer from Clark. But again, the Fever came up just short, falling 104-102. Clark stuffed the stat sheet with 32 points, ten assists, four rebounds, two steals, and a block. She also made seven 3-pointers and became the first player in WNBA history with multiple 30-point, 10-assist games. A statistical correction on Sunday pushed Clark to ten dimes from eight, allowing her to break a tie with Courtney Vandersloot for the most 20-10 games in a career.

Caitlin Clark:

Forces OT ✔️
Knocks down 5th three of Q4 ✔️
7 total 3PM through regulation ✔️

WHAT CAN'T SHE DO?! pic.twitter.com/F19M2uVMNn
— Indiana Fever (@IndianaFever) May 16, 2026

Clark extended that record in Sunday night’s game against the Seattle Storm, finishing with 21 points and 10 assists in an 89-78 win. The feat also marked her fourth straight game with 20+ points and 5+ assists, tied for the longest season-starting streak in WNBA history, according to ESPN. Clark reflected on the accomplishments in her postgame media remarks:

“I always take pride in being able to set my teammates up for success. Her elite perimeter shooting from Iowa has translated to the league, as she’s nailed 32% of her 3-pointers throughout her three-year career. Clark’s quick ball movement and elite playmaking have served her and the Fever well. In her rookie season, Clark set the single-season assist record with 337, surpassing the previous record of 316 held by Alyssa Thomas. Her shooting success rate and high basketball IQ will have her on top of the WNBA leaderboards. Playing a full slate after last year’s season-ending groin injury will be huge to keep Clark on the stat sheets.

While the Indiana Fever were one game away from the 2025 WNBA Finals without Clark, they may end up as the favorite to go all the way this season with her. With a healthy roster and consistent play, Clark and the Fever are becoming a standout group to watch.

© Doug McSchooler/Special to IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

With week two of the WNBA season wrapping up, Caitlin Clark has added her name to more record books.
