With week two of the WNBA season wrapping up, Caitlin Clark<\/a> has added her name to more record books. The shooting guard is already averaging 25.3 points and eight assists per game. With the first four games of the season under her belt, there is a lot of excitement surrounding the superstar.<\/p>\r\n

Caitlin Clark Off to a Scorching Start in the 2026 WNBA Season<\/h2>\r\n

In the Indiana Fever\u2019s season debut against Paige Bueckers<\/a> and the Dallas Wings<\/a>, Caitlin Clark recorded 20 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. Although the Fever came up short, Clark gave them a strong chance to open up the season with a win. The entire game was back-and-forth in a battle between two former No. 1 overall picks.<\/p>\r\n

In the second game of the season against the Los Angeles Sparks, Clark recorded 24 points, four rebounds, and nine assists. On the defensive end, the point guard had two steals and a block. This balanced effort helped lead the Fever to their first win of the season, 87-78.<\/p>\r\n

On Friday, May 15, the Fever took on the Washington Mystics. After trailing by as many as 14 points, they clawed their way out of the deficit, forcing overtime with a wild 3-pointer from Clark. But again, the Fever came up just short, falling 104-102. Clark stuffed the stat sheet with 32 points, ten assists, four rebounds, two steals, and a block. She also made seven 3-pointers and became the first player in WNBA history with multiple 30-point, 10-assist games. A statistical correction on Sunday pushed Clark to ten dimes from eight, allowing her to break a tie with Courtney Vandersloot<\/a> for the most 20-10 games<\/a> in a career.<\/p>\r\n
