The team announced Thursday that Dodgers Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Lon Rosen will step in as President of Business Operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Lakers Take Bold Step Toward Dodger-Like Front Office<\/h2>\n<h3>About Lon Rosen<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rosen, who joined the Dodgers as an executive in 2012, guided the Dodgers to significant financial success over the past decade, according to the <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mcten\/status\/2024568345421389849\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lakers\u2019 press release<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cUnder Rosen&#8217;s leadership, the Dodgers have increased revenue every year and have led Major League Baseball in attendance since 2013, while winning three World Series titles. He brings a deep knowledge of the Los Angeles sports market as well as a personal familiarity with both the Lakers organization and the priorities of the Mark Walter-led TWG.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018For many years, I have seen the impact that Lon has had in our industry. Over that time, I have learned that not only is Lon a great person, but he also has a deep understanding of both sports and entertainment and a true feel for where this business is headed,\u2019 said Lakers Governor Jeanie Buss.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rosen returns to familiar territory despite his new title. He <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2026\/02\/19\/dodgers-exec-rosen-returns-to-roots-as-lakers-president-of-business-operations\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">interned for the Lakers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while studying at USC and worked as the team\u2019s <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2026\/02\/19\/dodgers-exec-rosen-returns-to-roots-as-lakers-president-of-business-operations\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Director of Promotions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from 1980-87. He also served as <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/johnsma02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Magic Johnson<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s former agent and longtime business partner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In thanking Buss and owner Mark Walter for the \u201cincredible opportunity,\u201d Rosen added:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAs everyone knows, the economics of the sports business are constantly changing &#8211; and they will continue to do so.
