As the season hits its stride, the NBA landscape is starting to take shape, but the margin between contenders and pretenders remains razor-thin. Injuries, schedule swings, and superstar performances have all played a role in reshaping the hierarchy, making week-to-week movement inevitable. With enough games played to reveal real trends, but still plenty of time for surprises, these Top 10 power rankings reflect which teams have consistently delivered, who\u2019s building momentum, and who still has something to prove as the playoff picture slowly comes into focus.<\/p>\n

10. Philadelphia 76ers<\/h3>\n

The 76ers<\/a> started off the season very strongly, but slowed down as they lost some of their momentum. However, they have picked up their pace a lot as the season has really gotten on its way. They have a lot of talent and are slowly putting it together as they are becoming more comfortable playing with each other.<\/p>\n

9. Boston Celtics<\/h3>\n

The Celtics<\/a> are just a consistent team that is winning games at a solid pace. They do not do anything best in the NBA, but just come in each night with a winning mentality. The Celtics are going to be a tough team down the stretch, as that team has been there and won it before, so they just have a lot of experience.<\/p>\n

8. Minnesota Timberwolves<\/h3>\n

The Timberwolves<\/a> have picked up some huge wins this season. They can beat anyone on any given night. They are another one of those teams that have been together for a few years now and just know how to play with each other and play really solid defense that always gives them a chance.<\/p>\n

7. Houston Rockets<\/h3>\n

The Rockets<\/a> could easily be a lot higher on this list than number 7, but it has been a crazy year in the NBA. They are exactly what people have expected them to be. They have put everything together and are playing really good team basketball. Kevin Durant completes this team, and his scoring takes a huge load off the rest of the roster.<\/p>\n

6. Los Angeles Lakers<\/h3>\n

The Lakers<\/a> really do not have enough talent to be as good as they are. They have some amazing players, but their depth from a name basis is lacking. This is not what it has felt like, though; they have felt like a well-built roster from top to bottom, and their reliance on their bench has been very impressive. If they can weather their recent flurry of injuries<\/a>, they’re going to be just fine.<\/p>\n

5. New York Knicks<\/h3>\n

The Knicks<\/a>\u2019 coaching change this offseason has been one of their best moves in recent history. Mike Brown has been extremely impressive in his short run with the Knicks so far. They have been playing great basketball in the early portion of the season and are hoping to continue that through the rest of the year.<\/p>\n

4. Denver Nuggets<\/h3>\n

The Nuggets<\/a> are a great team and a definite contender for the Finals. The Nuggets are at their best when Jokic can be the center of the game, and he has a bunch of shooters and guys who can cut around him. The Nuggets have built this perfectly, and Jamal Murray has been exceptional through the first 30 games of the season.<\/p>\n

3. San Antonio Spurs<\/h3>\n

The Spurs<\/a> have been climbing this list all season long. They are such an exciting team with a very exciting future. They came in this season with the hopes of making the playoffs and putting up a fight, but they are exceeding those expectations as they are sitting at second in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

2. Detroit Pistons<\/h3>\n

The Pistons<\/a> are a great team; there is not much more to be said other than that. Cade Cunningham is a great leader and exactly what the Pistons expected to get when they selected him first overall out of Oklahoma State. The Pistons are coasting right now and have a great chance to have one of the best seasons in their franchise’s history.<\/p>\n

1. Oklahoma City Thunder<\/h3>\n

The Thunder<\/a> are currently 25-3 and undefeated at home in those games; they are starting this season as one of the best in NFL history. The Thunder have the best roster in the NBA from top to bottom and are simply the best team in the NBA, and that is not going to change any time soon.<\/p>\n
