She claimed that she was intoxicated at the time, possibly from a drug put in a drink. She was unable to grant consent during the night in question. The jury must have\u00a0disagreed\u00a0with her case and ruled in Rose&#8217;s favor. The court had previously denied a motion by Rose\u2019s legal team for a dismissal or mistrial. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/allenry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Allen<\/a><\/strong>, younger brother of <strong>NBA<\/strong> veteran <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/allento01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tony Allen<\/a><\/strong>, was\u00a0also accused\u00a0and testified at the trial. Another friend of Rose, <strong>Randall Hampton<\/strong>, was also accused in the case.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hornaje01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jeff Hornacek<\/a><\/strong>, coach of the Knicks, said\u00a0that Rose would\u00a0not return to the team until the matter is fully resolved.<\/p>\n<p>After months of\u00a0dealing with this issue, which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2015\/08\/26\/derrick-rose-sued-for-gang-rape\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doe\u00a0first brought up<\/a>\u00a0in August 2015, it appears as though Rose can finally move on. The trial, however, started just last month. Fortunately\u00a0for Rose,\u00a0he will not have to deal with any more legal issues relating to the case.<\/p>\n<p>Now that the trial is over, Rose will\u00a0return to the Knicks and try to get his career back on track. He was traded from the <strong>Chicago Bulls<\/strong> this off-season,\u00a0in exchange for center <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/lopezro01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Robin Lopez<\/a><\/strong> and others. Rose, the 2010-11 <strong>MVP<\/strong>, is looking to get back to his old form.
