The Portland Trail Blazers have finally made massive moves by re-signing starters Toumani Camara<\/a> and Shaedon Sharpe<\/a> to contract extensions are good signs for the future. In fact, between Sharpe’s all-around potential and Camara’s defensive excellence, Portland has struck gold.<\/p>\n

Trail Blazers Strike Gold With New Contract Extensions<\/h2>\n

The 2025-26 season will be an exciting campaign for the Trail Blazers.<\/p>\n

Initially, there were questions about the team’s contract situation. However, Blazers manager Joe Cronin and the front office wisely resolved this before it became a bigger concern. First, Camara secured a four-year, $82 million<\/a> extension, per\u00a0ESPN senior insider Shams Charania. Then, Sharpe received a four-year, $90 million<\/a> contract extension (h\/t Charania).<\/p>\n

This is highly significant, as the Trail Blazers are now in a new era. Franchise legend Damian Lillard<\/a> might have made his return this offseason<\/a>, but the team’s core players moving forward are the ones with lucrative, long-term deals.<\/p>\n

Why The New Blazers Contract Extensions are Stellar<\/h3>\n

As one of the Blazers’ go-to scorers, Sharpe’s new deal is a steal. In 2024-25, Sharpe averaged 18.5 points per game on 45.2% from the field. During training camp and the preseason, he was arguably the team’s most impressive player<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This instantly becomes one of my favorite contracts in the league, simply because Shaedon Sharpe has the juice to EASILY outperform this contract if he can realize his ceiling and become the scorer I think he can be<\/p>\n
