The commitment cycle had been relatively slow over the spring and summer, due to a variety of factors, including the focus on transfer portal recruiting and revenue-sharing. However, over the past 7-10 days, things have <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/2025\/09\/24\/fall-recruiting-2026-4-star-commits\/\" target=\"_self\">started to pick up<\/a>, with more college decisions expected to arrive over the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<h2>Big College Decisions Coming for Top High School Prospects<\/h2>\n<h3>4-Star Prospects<\/h3>\n<h4>Ralph Scott<\/h4>\n<p>Rapidly rising 2026 four-star prospect Ralph Scott will <a href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/article\/ralph-scott-commitment-date-announcement-cbs-sports-college-basketball-channel-purdue-houston-texas-am-tennessee-254540693\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">make his commitment announcement<\/a> on Tuesday afternoon, according to 247Sports\/CBS Sports. The 6-foot-7 wing is down to a top-four of Houston, Purdue, Tennessee and Texas A&amp;M. He&#8217;s officially visited all four schools.<\/p>\n<p>Scott, who has vaulted into the top-35 nationally, is a standout at the IMG Academy in Bradenton (Fla.). It&#8217;s unclear if there is a frontrunner for Scott, although some chatter suggests perhaps the Volunteers could ultimately be the choice for Scott.<\/p>\n<h4>Trent Perry<\/h4>\n<p>A day later, on Wednesday, 2026 four-star prospect Trent Perry will <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/news\/trent-perry-down-to-3-schools-sets-commitment-date-maryland-kansas-tcu\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">make his college decision known<\/a>. The 6-foot-4 small forward is down to Maryland, Kansas and TCU. He has visited each school. Perry is a senior at the Link Academy in Branson (Mo.). There are no analyst predictions for him at this time. ESPN is the most bullish on Perry, placing him<a  href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-sports\/basketball\/recruiting\/player\/news\/_\/id\/254873\/trent-perry\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> at No. 77 nationally<\/a> in the 2026 class.<\/p>\n<h4>Davion Adkins<\/h4>\n<div>Kansas <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/2025\/08\/23\/kansas-has-buzz-for-a-4-star-top-5-power-forward\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">has buzz for<\/a> four-star big man Davion Adkins, a top-25 national prospect who officially visited the Jayhawks this past weekend. The 6-foot-2 senior is a top-100 national prospect, according to the majority of recruiting services. There are <a href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/Player\/trey-beamer-46150807\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">two predictions in Boston College&#8217;s direction<\/a> for Beamer (h\/t 247Sports).<\/div>\n<h3>Decision Likely Coming for 5-Star Prospects<\/h3>\n<h4>Tajh Ariza<\/h4>\n<p>Tajh Ariza, a 2026 five-star wing, recently revealed that his two finalists are Big Ten Conference schools Oregon and Southern California. Analysts anticipate that the 6-foot-9 small forward should be making his college decision soon. Ariza is a standout at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower (Calif.), near Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<div class=\"nwVKo\">\n<div>Most recruiting services, within the 2026 class, have Ariza in the top 20 nationally. The 6-foot-8 Thompson, out of the Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/anthony-thompson-241015\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">is a top-five national prospect<\/a>. His top six includes Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Indiana, Texas and Michigan.
