Mikal Bridges

Managers know that they can always rely on the durable Mikal Bridges. The forward/guard has never played under 70 games in his seven-year career. While the 29-year-old’s numbers aren’t the most exciting, he doesn’t significantly lack in any areas. However, consistency is sometimes a problem, especially when he’s playing on star-studded teams.

86. Fred VanVleet

Fred VanVleet left a sour taste in managers’ mouths following one of his worst fantasy seasons. Yet, he remains a solid dynasty asset at 31 years old, thanks to his playmaking, three-point shooting and defensive production. Field goal percentage has consistently been an issue for VanVleet, and he’s also not typically a big scorer.

87. Zach Edey

Zach Edey finished his first year pro as the highest-ranked rookie in his class. The big man started most games for the Memphis Grizzlies and made positive contributions in rebounds, blocks and field goal percentage while showing glimpses of scoring potential. Although, the 23-year-old has already had some trouble with his ankle and underwent surgery over the offseason.

88. Naz Reid

Despite being limited to a bench role over the past few seasons, Naz Reid has become one of the best sixth men in the league. He’s a 3-and-D threat who is fairly versatile, lacking only in assists, steals, and free-throw percentage. Consistency and minutes hold him back the most, but a starting job would catapult the 26-year-old’s fantasy value.

89. Malik Monk

With the Sacramento Kings trading away the star point guard last season, Malik Monk exploded onto the scene. The 27-year-old is known for being hot and cold, but when he’s having a good stretch, he’s posting big numbers. The guard can impact both ends of the court, primarily through his scoring, playmaking, rebounding, three-point scoring and free-throw efficiency.

90. Derik Queen

The New Orleans Pelicans landed 13th overall pick Derik Queen in the 2025 NBA Draft, adding an offensive center. The biggest knock on the 20-year-old’s game is his defence and rim protection, which showed promise in Summer League. Queen’s fit on the roster also raises some questions, but he should get ample development opportunities.

Mar 27, 2025; San Francisco, CA, USA; Maryland Terrapins center Derik Queen (25) attempts a basket against Florida Gators forward Thomas Haugh (10) in the second half during a West Regional semifinal of the 2025 NCAA tournament at Chase Center. Matas Buzelis

Even with limited playing time last season, Matas Buzelis showed great flashes of potential. The forward is very versatile, with assists being his weakest category. At 20, Buzelis still needs to develop, and it may take some time before he’s a consistent fantasy contributor. Still, he’s primed to take on a greater role as he looks to become a key cog on the team.

92. Jared McCain

Jared McCain was on track to be the 2024 Rookie of the Year until a meniscus tear shut him down. The 21-year-old still impressed managers with his offensive arsenal and figures to play significant minutes for the Philadelphia 76ers in his sophomore season and beyond. However, the guard doesn’t offer as much value on the defensive end.

93. Kon Knueppel

2025 fourth-overall pick Kon Knueppel is expected to play a big part for the Charlotte Hornets immediately. The 20-year-old is expected to start at small forward and should get ample playing time, especially in silly season. Knueppel is a three-point specialist who also makes some contributions in other categories, notably free-throw shooting and rebounds.

94. Tre Johnson

Touted as one of the best shooters in the 2025 draft class, Tre Johnson’s fantasy value mainly lies in points and threes. As a result, the 19-year-old guard is more suited for points leagues. However, he could evolve his game. He’s also joining a Washington Wizards team loaded with young talent, and while his role is unclear, Johnson should still get his moments.

95. Jakob Poeltl

The past few seasons have been injury-plagued for Jakob Poeltl, but he’s still coming off one of his best fantasy finishes. The big man stepped up in the scoring column on ultra-efficient shooting. Poeltl shines most defensively through his shot-blocking and rebounding, and he can also grab some steals. Just don’t expect any threes or a good free-throw percentage from the 29-year-old.

96. Dejounte Murray

Injuries marred Dejounte Murray’s first season with the Pelicans, and his Achilles tear raises concerns about his durability. While he probably won’t ever return to his Spurs form, the 28-year-old still offers good two-way production. The guard’s future on the team is also unclear following their offseason additions in the backcourt.

Featured image: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images

To help fantasy basketball managers prepare for dynasty drafts in 2025-26, here are rankings for the eighth round.
