Following the 2025 NBA Draft, the Blazers’ future became the subject of intense discourse. The NBA community could not believe they selected Yang Hansen<\/a> with the 16th pick. There was confusion, but the hype was also behind him, especially with the “Chinese Jokic”<\/a> tag.<\/p>\n

Everyone Loves Yang Hansen, And It Should Not Be Surprising<\/strong><\/h2>\n

After the Portland Trail Blazers selected Yang Hansen with the first round, the NBA community felt collective shock. The reach came out of the blue, which led people to say it was way too sudden. Thankfully, Yang is proving he is a good pick for Portland.<\/p>\n

The 2025 NBA Summer League was promising for the Trail Blazers<\/a>, as the team strengthened Yang’s game. The Chinese version of Nikola Jokic<\/a> might be too ambitious, but he does have some of the Serbian’s play style.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Blazers look ecstatic to play with him. Most of his teammates went to the Summer League, including Donovan Clingan<\/a>. Many people expect them to compete for the long-term center role, but Clingan was supportive.<\/p>\n

With the Blazers already seeing Yang play at his Summer League stint, they know they have a good player. The biggest talking point is his playmaking, as he has a natural feel for the game. However, he is also a stellar rim protector with his size.<\/p>\n
