With most of their needs filled, could LA take a flier on one of <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/jamesle01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LeBron James<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019 former teammates?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Lakers Could Be Option for Veteran Seeking &#8220;Glamour Market&#8221;<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>Report: Kevin Love Eyeing Big Cities if Bought Out<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to NBA insider <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=O4N4zIWC9OQ\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jake Fischer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/loveke01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kevin Love<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is aiming for a <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheDunkCentral\/status\/1948731829629956157\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cglamour market\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> once the Utah Jazz buy out his contract. The former top-five pick was included in a <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/breaking-news\/article\/norman-powell-john-collins-kevin-love-part-of-3-team-trade-between-clippers-jazz-and-heat-report-142437526.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">three-team trade<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that sent <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/collijo01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">John Collins<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the Clippers and <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/p\/powelno01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Norman Powell<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the Heat. On the cusp of his 18th season, it\u2019s clear Love isn\u2019t keen on spending it in Utah. He is in the middle of a <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.spotrac.com\/nba\/player\/_\/id\/6132\/kevin-love\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">two-year, $8 million contract<\/a> and earning $4.1 million in 2025-26.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSo with Kevin Love, to my understanding, he really only wants to be in the big glamour markets. I do think it would mostly be something along the lines of Kevin Love going to a New York or a Los Angeles type of situation.\u00a0 So, we&#8217;ll see if that can materialize for him.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fischer added that <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/O4N4zIWC9OQ?si=5mB-ivM26j5F5MX7&amp;t=1061\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Love\u2019s buyout has taken a while<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> because he\u2014unlike recent candidates\u2014does not have his next team confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2016 champion and five-time All-Star spent a little over two seasons in South Beach, gradually transitioning into a reserve role. In 23 games last year, he averaged 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and one assist in ten minutes. Throughout his career, Love has been a reliable starter, a double-double threat (16.2 points, 10.0 rebounds) and a decent floor-spacer. According to the betting website <a  href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheDunkCentral\/status\/1942644950820094257\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bovada<\/a>, the Lakers recently had the third-best odds to land him behind the Warriors and, to no surprise, the Cavs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 36-year-old is a <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HeatDiehards\/status\/1943695176905425326\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">respected veteran<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who has tremendous postseason experience. Both factors are crucial for a star-studded Lakers team eyeing another championship run. Love&#8217;s longstanding <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/nba\/comments\/1lj09ta\/kevin_love_and_lebron_james_working_out_together\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">chemistry<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with LeBron is another incentive for the Lakers to sign him. The two had <a  href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/25212272-lakers-lebron-james-posts-video-1st-basketball-workout-session-knee-injury\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">worked out together<\/a> in late June, James\u2019 first while recovering from an end-of-season knee injury.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Athletic\u2019s Dan Woike <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CantBeatAudel\/status\/1948574374061375561\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recently pointed out<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that while the team\u2019s roster is likely set ahead of opening night, it wouldn\u2019t hurt to add Love as a vocal leader next to James. The Lakers had several locker room veterans in the last few years\u2014including <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/dudleja01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jared Dudley<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/morrima02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Markieff Morris<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014whose biggest contributions came off the floor instead of on it.
