On the whole (29 games, five starts), he put up 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and one steal per game. He did so on 43% shooting from the field, 38% from three and 81% from the free-throw line.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 26-year-old showed tremendous effort on both ends from the jump, at one point <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.statmuse.com\/nba\/ask?q=jordan+goodwin+starter+stats+2024-25\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">starting for LA<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the midst of injuries. One of his best performances came in his second game with the franchise: a <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TUKKEl7ZRvA\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">season-high 17 points<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and eight rebounds against the Utah Jazz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the Lakers eventually inked Goodwin to a guaranteed contract, head coach JJ Redick had <\/span><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nba\/lakers\/news\/jj-redick-explains-lakers-decision-to-promote-jordan-goodwin-cut-cam-reddish\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">high praise for the undrafted guard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Just his competitive spirit, his toughness. We&#8217;re confident in him.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the first season in LA, Goodwin displayed tenacious defense with a knack for scoring and facilitating, his versatility becoming huge for an otherwise depleted bench.
