In return, the Raptors received RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a second-round pick. A deal that has worked out for both sides is currently paying off for the Knicks. In the playoffs, OG has averaged 16.2 points while playing his all-world defense, which he never gets credit for. OG’s New York Knicks currently trail in the series to the Indiana Pacers 3-1. Regardless, Anunoby has played well in this series, averaging 17.5 points with a 57.8 effective field goal percentage.

Throughout the playoffs, OG has had a couple of standout performances, including Game 1 of the first round against Detroit. He notched 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds, along with five steals and two blocks en route to a Knicks win. But his most memorable performance came in Game 1 of the second round against Boston, scoring 29, including 11 4th quarter and OT points. His play, which was highlighted above, has been solid in the ECF, but I would expect him to have another exceptional game before the end of the series. Overall, OG’s play on both ends of the floor has been vital to the Knicks.

Pascal Siakam

19 days after OG Anunoby was traded, the Raptors shipped off their star forward to the Indiana Pacers. In return, they received a collection of players and picks. The players included Bruce Brown, Kira Lewis, and Jordan Nwora. With three first-round picks involved as well. The Pacers have made two straight ECFs and have been extremely competitive in those games. Siakam has been a key contributor to their newfound success, averaging 20.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game in the playoffs this year.

Siakam has had memorable moments of his own, including against OG, scoring 39 points in Game 2 of the ECF. He has upped his averages to 24.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in the conference finals. Moreover, Siakam is shooting a stellar 47.1 percent from beyond the arc against the Knicks. Siakam’s versatile defense has also been key to the Pacers’ success. With the Pacers being one again away from making the NBA Finals, Siakam has undoubtedly been vital to their impressive postseason run, and he will continue to be as Indiana attempts to win it all.

Featured image: © Trevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images

We are well into the conference finals games in this year’s NBA playoffs, leaving us with four teams left.
