Scoot Henderson<\/a> is having a resurgent season, but it might end earlier than expected. Scoot Henderson was recently evaluated for a\u00a0 concussion after their last game against the Kings. This makes Portland’s Play-In hopes much murkier. The Blazers rebuild also takes a hit with him out.<\/p>\n

Scoot Henderson’s Concussion Could Hurt Play-In Hopes<\/h2>\n

The Portland Trail Blazers are still in the Play-In Tournament race<\/a>, sitting four games behind the Dallas Mavericks. Chauncey Billups’ team chances are slim, but the players want to compete for a Play-In spot. Unfortunately, Scoot Henderson’s possible concussion could be a huge problem for the team.<\/p>\n

Scoot is not a starter, yet he is vital to the rotation. He is not the superstar player he was once hyped up to be, but he showed some promising signs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Henderson’s Concussion Evaluation Could Hurt His Productive Season<\/h3>\n

For the 2024-25 season, Scoot has been relatively healthy throughout the campaign. He has stepped into the starting lineup 10 times<\/a>, averaging 16.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. The former G-League Ignite star has proven he deserves a spot on the Trail Blazers. It could even be as the starting point guard when the Blazers realize what to do with Anfernee Simons<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of course, it has not been all sunshine and rainbows for Scoot as he struggled in the first few months. He has taken massive strides mostly because he is a better three-point shooter at 35.4%. Henderson has lessened his turnovers from 3.4 in 23-24 to 2.7 per game in 24-25. Concussions can be tricky and there is no clear timetable for Henderson to return.<\/p>\n
