Whether they are a guard, forward, or center, these prospects have shown their worth as players throughout the season and are ready to be drafted.

Top NBA Draft Prospects On Sweet 16 Teams

Duke Blue Devils: Cooper Flagg

Undoubtedly, the top NBA draft prospect on the Duke Blue Devils is forward Cooper Flagg. Throughout the season and tournament, he has shown that he is the most complete prospect in this draft. There isn’t a single area in his game where he isn’t at least average. Also, Flagg’s level of play has not dropped off during March Madness despite a recent ankle injury and Duke’s championship hopes are thriving. He will certainly be the number one overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft.

Arizona Wildcats: Carter Bryant

Despite playing limited minutes and not being the primary offensive option, Arizona forward Carter Bryant is the top draft prospect on the Wildcats. All things considered, he is one of the better 3-and-D wing prospects in the draft this year. Particularly, Bryant has the ideal size and athleticism to be a high-level wing defender. Not only that, but he can also shoot threes, attack closeouts, and handle the ball in a limited capacity. Bryant has flashed exceptional talent in his limited minutes in the regular season and during March Madness.

BYU: Egor Demin

Despite Egor Demin’s struggles after his early-season hype, he is still the top draft prospect playing for BYU. Specifically, his incredible passing abilities, combined with his size at six-foot-nine, make him an intriguing prospect. His ability to be a great passer and his size mismatch at guard has helped lead his team to the NCAA tournament. Demin does have his issues as a scorer and defender, but he is still the most talented player for BYU.

Alabama Crimson Tide: Labaron Philon

The Alabama Crimson Tide has many impressive prospects on the roster and has had a successful season so far. Out of all those prospects, six-foot-four guard Labaron Philon is the top draft prospect among them. Philon’s ability to be a high-IQ player and a skilled defender has been his main calling card. Those skills have helped Alabama make its way to the Sweet 16. While Philon isn’t the best athlete or a shooter, he is immensely talented in many other facets of the game. Philon has shown that he is talented enough to be a first-round pick this year.

Houston Cougars: Joseph “JoJo” Tugler

Joseph “JoJo” Tugler has helped anchor one of the best defenses in college basketball this season. The calling card for the Houston Cougar big is his promising defensive abilities. He knows how to use his physical tools to be a versatile defensive piece who can play many roles. He has the skills to be a modern defensive big despite his lack of size at six-foot-seven. Even though Tugler’s offensive game is still developing, his defensive abilities make him a clear NBA prospect who can realistically go in the second round.

Purdue Boilermakers: Braden Smith

The Purdue Boilermakers have had an impressive season despite the departure of Zach Edey. Regardless of that, Purdue does not have any big prospect names on the roster. However, they have their star guard, Braden Smith, who is a great scorer and steady floor general. Despite his height at six feet tall, Smith has shown that he can score on all three levels. He is an excellent shooter and plays the game with a high basketball IQ. He has quarterbacked Purdue’s offense and has shown excellent playmaking abilities. His polished offensive skill set will get Smith a look in the second round. Despite not being a highly-ranked prospect, Smith has led his team on an impressive run to the Sweet 16.

Kentucky Wildcats: Koby Brea

Given the lack of overall young talent, the best draft prospect on the roster of the Kentucky Wildcats is Koby Brea. He has been one of the top scorers for Kentucky. Compared to the rest of the class, Brea is one of the best shooters and can knock down threes in various ways. Not only that, but he moves well without the ball. Pair his scoring ability with his size at six-foot-six, and he can be a role player at the next level. There is a real chance that he can get drafted in the second round.

Tennessee Volunteers: Chaz Lanier

Guard Chaz Lanier’s shooting and overall scoring abilities have helped propel the Tennessee Volunteers into the Sweet 16 after a successful regular season. Without a doubt, Lanier is one of the best shooting prospects in the class. Furthermore, his ability to score from anywhere makes him even more of a threat on the court. While Lanier does have his negatives, he has shown enough offensively to be considered for the second round.

Auburn Tigers: Johni Broome

Center Johni Broome has been one of the most productive players in college basketball and has helped lead his team to the Sweet 16. Broome’s versatile skill set as a big was the foundation for Auburn’s success this season. He is skilled on both ends of the floor and has been the team’s focal point. He can help organize offense and anchor a defense. Broome is one of the best center prospects in the class.

Michigan Wolverines: Danny Wolf

Center Danny Wolf is easily one of the best center prospects due to his unique offensive skill set. He can score on all three levels, both with or without the ball. He gives his team valuable spacing and can handle the ball as well. He has served as the primary initiator offensively and can make great reads against defenses. Furthermore, Wolf is a talented passer as a center. Not only can he be a skilled offensive player, but he can also provide paint defense. While there are concerns about Wolf’s ability to guard at the next level, he has shown more than enough to be considered a top center prospect in this draft.

Ole Miss Rebels: N/A

While the Ole Miss Rebels are incredibly skilled and have beaten many impressive teams, they don’t necessarily have players who could be considered draft prospects in this year’s draft. Nevertheless, the Rebels have shown amazing resilience and toughness during the tournament. Unquestionably, they deserve all the praise they receive for their run during March Madness.

Michigan State Spartans: Jase Richardson

Jase Richardson has been soaring up draft boards throughout the season. His scoring and defensive abilities have helped the Spartans make the NCAA Tournament and get to the Sweet 16. Alongside his scoring and defense, Richardson almost always makes the right play and rarely makes mistakes. Additionally, as the season progressed, he flashed a more all-around game. Given his constant improvement and skill set, Richardson going in the lottery isn’t out of the question.

Florida Gators: Alex Condon

Alex Condon’s athleticism and potential two-way ability make him one of the better center prospects in the class. His teammate, Walter Clayton Jr., is also a clear NBA draft prospect. However, he is on the older side. Condon has shown versatility on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he can score on all three levels and has some passing ability. Defensively, he has the tools to be a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions and protect the paint. Furthermore, he plays with excellent motor and energy.

Maryland Terrapins: Derik Queen

Derik Queen has shown throughout his rookie season that he can be a terrific offensive player. Outside of three-point shooting, he can score anywhere on the court. Despite being a big, he can handle the ball and initiate offense from the perimeter. He has served as Maryland’s primary offensive option and has done it well. Given what he has shown, Queen will be a lottery pick in this year’s draft.

Texas Tech Red Raiders: JT Toppin

Forward JT Toppin is the top NBA draft prospect on the Texas Red Raiders due to his innate athleticism, defense, and finishing ability. He knows how to leverage his athleticism to be an intriguing defensive player. He is great at disrupting shots at the rim and is a good rebounder. Offensively, he still has more development ahead of him, but he is a good finisher at the rim. Those aspects of his game have helped the Raiders make the tournament and be one of the better teams in college basketball. He is a clear talent who can be taken early in the second round.

Arkansas Razorbacks: Adou Thiero

While forward Adou Thiero hasn’t officially partaken in March Madness due to an injury, he is still the top draft prospect on the Arizona Razorbacks. As a player, he is a high-energy wing who can put pressure on the rim and play tough defense. He knows how to use his athleticism on both ends of the floor and make highlight plays. His biggest issue is that he is not a shooter, but Thiero still has many things going for him.

© Zachary Taft-Imagn Images

As the NCAA Tournament proceeds, numerous NBA prospects have helped lead their teams into the Sweet 16.
