With less than a month left in the season, not a lot has gone the Washington Wizards<\/a>‘ way so far. They are 15-52, which is the second-worst record in the NBA (only ahead of the Utah Jazz<\/a>). Furthermore, they are statistically the worst offense and the third-worst defense in the NBA. They are, however, 6-5 in their last 11 games. While a playoff appearance is not happening this year, there is a lot to like about the Wizards’ outlook. Unfortunately for them, they provided an unfortunate injury report on Tuesday regarding fourth-year pro Corey Kispert<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kispert missed the Wizards’ Monday loss to the Portland Trail Blazers<\/a> with a thumb injury. To that point, the Washington native had only missed five games all the season and none in 2025. However, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, Kispert underwent thumb surgery and will miss the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

Washington Wizards swingman Corey Kispert had season-ending left thumb surgery, which repaired a ligament tear to his left thumb. Kispert is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of next season, team says.<\/p>\n
