The NBA trade\u00a0deadline has come and gone and there were plenty of blockbuster deals.<\/p>\n
The Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a> moved on from six players<\/a> and acquired four.<\/p>\n Cleveland, as part of a three-team, six-player deal<\/a>, acquired Rodney Hood<\/a> <\/strong>from the Utah Jazz<\/a> and George Hill<\/a><\/strong> from the Sacramento Kings<\/a>. In turn, the Cavs sent Iman Shumpert<\/a><\/strong> to the Kings and shipped off Jae Crowder<\/a><\/strong> and Derrick Rose<\/a><\/strong> to the Jazz. Utah did release Rose.<\/p>\n The Cavaliers also sent Isiah Thomas<\/a><\/strong>, Channing Frye<\/a><\/strong> and their 2018 protected first-round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> for Jordan Clarkson<\/a><\/strong> and Larry Nance Jr.<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Finally, Cleveland sent Dwyane Wade<\/a><\/strong> back home to the Miami Heat in exchange for a protected second-round pick in 2020.<\/p>\n RELATED:<\/strong> Los Angeles Lakers Potential Moves Following Trade Deadline<\/a><\/p>\n The Denver Nuggets<\/a> traded Emmanuel Mudiay<\/a><\/strong> to the New York Knicks<\/a> as part of a three-team deal<\/a>. Denver got Devin Harris<\/a><\/strong> and a 2018 second round pick and the Dallas Mavericks<\/a> acquired Doug McDermott<\/a><\/strong> from the Knicks.<\/p>\n The biggest steal of the day quite possibly involved the Phoenix Suns<\/a>. Suns general manager Ryan McDonough<\/strong> acquired <\/a>Elfrid Payton<\/a><\/strong>, a point-guard who has been decent this season for the Orlando Magic<\/a> but was clearly not a great fit, for only a 2018 second-round pick.<\/p>\n RELATED:<\/strong> Grading the Orlando Magic’s Trade Deadline<\/a><\/p>\n There were several other minor trades of which you may or may not have seen the details. Here is a round-up of those.<\/p>\n Jameer Nelson<\/a> to Detroit:\u00a0<\/b>Nelson will reunite with his former head coach, Stan Van Gundy<\/strong>, and play for a Pistons team that is fighting for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Of course, the Pistons’ biggest trade came before trade deadline day when they acquired Blake Griffin<\/a> <\/strong>from the Los Angeles Clippers<\/a>, but this trade helps shore up Detroit’s point guard spot, and Van Gundy and Nelson made the NBA Finals together in Orlando in 2009.<\/p>\n James Ennis<\/a> to Detroit:\u00a0<\/strong>Ennis will make for a nice addition to the Pistons’ bench. He can shoot the three ball and defend. The Pistons sent forward Brice Johnson<\/a> <\/strong>and a 2022 second-round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> in return for Ennis.<\/p>\n Dante Cunningham<\/a> to Brooklyn:\u00a0<\/strong>Cunningham reportedly did not want to play for the New Orleans Pelicans<\/a> anymore. Now, he will get an opportunity with what appears to be an up-and-coming Brooklyn Nets<\/a> team. Rashad Vaughn<\/a><\/strong> will go to New Orleans after just being traded to Brooklyn from Milwaukee in the Tyler Zeller<\/a> <\/strong>trade.<\/p>\n Noah Vonleh<\/a> to Chicago:\u00a0<\/strong>The Bulls’ promising young roster added another young player who has potential. Vonleh, a former top-10 draft pick, did not get to play very much on the Portland Trail Blazers<\/a>. He should get more of an opportunity in Chicago. Portland received the draft rights to Milovan Rakovic<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in exchange for Vonleh.<\/p>\n Luke Babbitt<\/a> to Miami:\u00a0<\/strong>Babbitt was the second former Miami Heat<\/a> player to return to his old team on Thursday. Babbitt will give the Heat three-point shooting, an area they have lacked all season. Miami sent\u00a0Okaro White<\/a> <\/strong>to the Atlanta Hawks<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sheldon Mac<\/a> to Atlanta:<\/strong> For some reason, the Hawks decided to give up a future second-round pick to the Washington Wizards<\/a> for a player who has not played this season after he tore his Achilles tendon before the season. Great trade for Washington, though!<\/p>\n Bruno Caboclo<\/a> to Sacramento:<\/strong> Caboclo and the player who the Kings sent to Toronto,\u00a0Malachi Richardson<\/a><\/strong>, were first-round selections in 2014 and 2016, respectively.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jameer Nelson has been reunited with Stan Van Gundy in Orlando.
