While he was not playing in the All-Star Game, he made sure to keep things entertaining. He was mic\u2019d up during the event, and the Milwaukee Bucks star had jokes for almost anyone he encountered.<\/p>\n<h2>Giannis Antetokounmpo Is All Jokes During All-Star Weekend<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/2025\/02\/09\/giannis-antetokounmpo-miss-all-star-game-calf-injury\/\" target=\"_self\">Giannis was not playing due to injury<\/a>, but he remained one of the most entertaining figures of the All-Star weekend. The Greek Freak gave a full display of his humor, but also his appreciation for players in the league. Here are some of his best jokes during the event.<\/p>\n<h3>Giannis Trolls Chuck<\/h3>\n<p>One of the first victims of the Bucks\u2019 star humor was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/barklch01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charles Barkley<\/a>. His humor, combined with his appreciation for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wembavi01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Victor Wembanyama<\/a>\u2019s talent, delivered a great joke. Chuck was the GM of the international stars team, and Giannis had some fun with him. He said,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey Chuck, back in the day, you couldn\u2019t guard him. So, anything you say on TV, that does not matter. You\u2019ve never faced something like this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Antetokounmpo was pointing at Wembanyama, who was nearby. The Spurs star shook Barkley\u2019s hand, fully aware that he was at the center of the conversation. Wembanyama is one of the most hyped prospects since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/jamesle01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LeBron James<\/a>, and he showed why during the All-Star game. In the locker room, he talked about how SGA has a special aura around him and how he walks around. He said,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust a little bit, hey, just shake my hand. Just a little bit of aura, that\u2019s what I want. He talked about the idea of players from the United States competing against the rest of the world, saying,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would love that. I think that would be the most interesting and most exciting format. I always compete, but I think that will give me a little bit more extra juice to compete, like having Shai, Jokic, Luka, Wemby, Towns, and Sengun. Going against the best US players, I think it would be fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI would love that. He said,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt would be fun. Having a game in the UK or a game in Paris. Or having a game in Greece, obviously is a small country, but why not? Having a game in China, an All-Star game in China, and all the stars go there for a weekend and play the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Will Giannis Compete in the Dunk Contest?<\/h3>\n<p>The dunk contest was a show this year, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/mccluma01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mac McClung<\/a> becoming the first player ever to three-peat. After the contest, plenty of stars went on social media to talk about it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/moranja01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ja Morant<\/a> was the first to react, saying that \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/basketball\/2025\/02\/17\/ja-morant-convince-star-players-2026-nba-dunk-contest\/\" target=\"_self\">Mac might make me decide to dunk<\/a>\u201d. Giannis reposted that tweet saying, \u201cIf you do it, I\u2019ll do it with you\u201d. Fun fact, Giannis competed in the dunk contest in 2015.
