The Heat turned the ball over 16 times in Monday&#8217;s 11-point loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, fell by 36 points at home to the struggling Utah Jazz, and blew a 17-point lead to the Sacramento Kings that led to a double-overtime defeat. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/herroty01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyler Herro<\/a> claims that the Heat&#8217;s second-year captain, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/adebaba01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bam Adebayo<\/a>, was the best person to help the club gel without Butler.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Heat All-Star Hopeful Tyler Herro Praises Bam Adebayo&#8217;s Recent Leadership<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Adebayo&#8217;s Leadership Acknowledged<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cWe all lean on him. He has continued to carry us as a leader in the locker room and a voice,\u201d Herro <a class=\"qbe-widget\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hothothoops\/status\/1879568148267159906\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>recently told<\/u><\/a> NBA insider Marc J. Spears of Andscape. \u201cHe has always been that for us. The last couple of weeks he has really stepped up in that regard. And just leading on the court, on both ends, being the anchor on defense and sticking with everything he is doing offensively.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even though he isn&#8217;t as outspoken as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hasleud01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Udonis Haslem<\/a> Adebayo is still a vital mentor. This is crucial to their core group of young players, which includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/jovicni01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nikola Jovic<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wareke01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kel&#8217;el Ware<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/jaqueja01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaime Jaquez Jr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Adebayo stated that even if Butler is absent, they still have enough players to win games.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody needs somebody to look at,\u201d he<a class=\"qbe-widget\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hothothoops\/status\/1879567485638504506\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u> said.<\/u><\/a> \u201cThey need that voice, that one voice where we get in the trenches and it gets dark. People lose direction. You need somebody to be that enforcer to understand that we can still win. We still have enough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t let this season go to s\u2014 for the young guys. I look at \u2019em because young guys are trying to get a job. Guys are trying to be something in this league and it\u2019s like you can\u2019t let the outside noise distract that. But for me, it\u2019s really getting everybody at the same page and understand that we can still win.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Next Caretaker for Miami<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Similar to how there are multiple ways to skin a cat, there are multiple ways to lead. Although we don&#8217;t always get access to what goes on behind closed doors, Adebayo is the foundation and pillar of this organization&#8217;s future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt goes without saying what he means to the franchise, what he means to the city,\u201d Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra <a class=\"qbe-widget\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hothothoops\/status\/1879569149716042188\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>said<\/u><\/a>. \u201cYou know he\u2019s the next caretaker, torchbearer for our organization, and it\u2019s because he\u2019s about all the right things.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about winning. He\u2019ll sacrifice, he\u2019ll do the dirty work. I think he was arguably one of everyone\u2019s favorite teammates this summer [in Paris] because he took on all the challenges defensively, he facilitated, got everybody involved. In addition, they currently have the 11th defense in the league. Adebayo&#8217;s invaluable leadership and voice will be the glue holding this team together for the remainder of the season.
