Steph Curry Passes Iverson And Kobe On All-Time Lists<\/h2>\n

Curry Now Has More Career Points Than AI<\/h3>\n

Monday night was a disappointing performance by Golden State. They were defeated by the Toronto Raptors by the score of 104-101. The win improved Toronto\u2019s record to a still-miserable 9-31.<\/p>\n

In the losing effort, Curry still had a productive game. He finished the outing with 26 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. As mentioned, he passed a legend in both career scoring and career assist totals.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with scoring. After Monday\u2019s contest, Curry has now scored 24,371 points in his magnificent career. Now in his 16th season, Curry previously won two scoring titles back in 2015-16 and 2020-21. He has now surpassed basketball icon Allen Iverson<\/a> into 28th place on the all-time scoring list<\/a>. The great AI scored 24,368 points in his career.<\/p>\n

Over his 14 NBA seasons, Iverson was known as one of the greatest pound-for-pound scorers that the game has ever seen. Listed at just 165 pounds, the 1996 first overall pick won four scoring titles. He was named the league\u2019s MVP<\/a> in 2000-01.<\/p>\n

Appearing in 31 of Golden State\u2019s first 39 games, Curry is on pace to appear in 65 games this season. Averaging 22.7 points per game in 2024-25 so far, that would mean he would score approximately 772 points for the rest of the season if appearing in 34 more games. That would give Curry 25,143 points which would allow him to also pass Ray Allen<\/a> (24,505) and Patrick Ewing<\/a> (24,815) on the all-time list this season.<\/p>\n

Curry Now Has More Career Assists Than Kobe<\/h3>\n

While Curry is certainly most known for his scoring and three-point exploits (holds record for most three-pointers made with 3,882), he has also dished out plenty of assists during his career. He has averaged 6.4 dimes in his 987 career regular season games, giving him a total of 6,308. On Monday, he passed another player who was known more so for his scoring, the Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Bryant\u2019s 33,643 points are the fourth-most in league history, he also handed out his share of helpers. In his 20 NBA seasons, Bryant finished his career with 6,306 assists. With Curry now owning two more than Bryant in his career, he has moved into 35th on the all-time assists list<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As previously written, Curry is on pace to play 65 games this season, or 34 more. Taking his 6.1 assists per contest on the year thus far, that would allow Curry to hand out approximately 207 more assists on the season. That would give him 6,515 for his career which would have him overtake Norm Nixon<\/a> (6,386), Reggie Theus<\/a> (6,453), John Lucas<\/a> (6,454), Stephon Marbury<\/a> (6,471), and Tiny Archibald<\/a> (6,476) on the all-time list.
