The Miami Heat are pretty familiar with trade rumors but this season has been different.<\/p>\n
For starters, many of the reports are centered on<\/a> six-time All-Star and five-time All-Defensive selection Jimmy Butler<\/a> rather than stretch-forward Duncan Robinson<\/a> or Tyler Herro<\/a>, the 2022 Sixth Man of the Year. Though Robinson and Herro have played key roles for the Heat, Butler has been more central to the team’s success. Furthermore, while plenty of speculation can be dismissed, ESPN senior insider Shams Charania doubled-down on his report<\/a> that Butler is eyeing an exit out of Miami. It’s hard to believe he would put his reputation on the line just for a headline and yet that’s what Butler’s agent is saying he’s doing<\/a>.<\/p>\n The noise had become so loud that Heat president Pat Riley released a statement<\/a> saying they weren’t trading Butler.<\/p>\n After a brief illness-related absence, Butler was asked whether he had held any conversations with Riley where things stand between them.
