Next up for the Nets is a trip to Mexico City, Mexico where the Nets face the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Miami Heat. The Nets are taking &#8220;We Go Hard&#8221; to Mexico.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>NBA in Mexico: Brooklyn Nets Hope to Go Hard Across the Border<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Success on the Road<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Nets recently went on a road trip against Western Conference opponents.\u00a0They were forced to play short-handed as sharpshooter <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/crabbal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Allen Crabbe<\/a><\/strong> missed all three games due to back issues. Starting power forward <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/holliro01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rondae Hollis-Jefferson<\/a><\/strong> left the Grizzlies game injured and missed the games versus the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/harrijo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joe Harris<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/booketr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trevor Booker<\/a><\/strong> filled in admirably for Crabbe and Hollis-Jefferson, respectively. Harris continued to repay the faith shown by the coaches as he contributed timely and consistent scoring throughout, while Booker brought his usual workman-like attitude, contributing double-doubles\u00a0in victories over the Grizzlies and the Mavericks.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Veteran Leadership Evident<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Nets followed a successful road trip with a disappointing\u00a0loss Atlanta Hawks upon their return to the Barclays. However, veteran leader\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/carrode01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DeMarre Carroll<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/carrode01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">,<\/a>a former Hawk, is unshaken in his belief of his young team. In a recent stint on NBA TV, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nba.com\/nets\/news\/2017\/12\/04\/demarre-carroll-nba-tv\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carroll spoke of his role with the Nets,<\/a> playing defense and his relationship with coach <strong>Kenny Atkinson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Vengeance in Atlanta<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After that unexpected, heart-breaking home loss on Saturday to the Atlanta Hawks, the Nets exacted sweet revenge on Monday. Swing man <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/leverca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Caris LeVert<\/a><\/strong> paced a balanced attack which saw six Nets scoring double figures\u00a0versus Atlanta in a game that Brooklyn badly wanted.<\/p>\n<p>LeVert, Hollis-Jefferson, Harris, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/dinwisp01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Spencer Dinwiddie<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/allenja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jarrett Allen<\/a><\/strong> and Carroll each scored at least 11 point; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/booketr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trevor Booker<\/a><\/strong> also chipped in with 9 points.<\/p>\n<p>On a night where the Nets led the Hawks in all five major categories, a couple of\u00a0performances stood out. Rookie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/allenja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jarrett Allen<\/a> tallied 11 points and 3 blocks. Hollis-Jefferson had a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds), and Carroll continued his consistent\u00a0play contributing 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Next up, Mexico<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Nets will help create NBA history on Thursday, December 7 and Saturday, December 9. Because it shall be the first time Mexico City hosts four regular-season games in a calendar year.\u00a0Reigning league MVP <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/westbru01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Russell Westbrook<\/a><\/strong>, alongside <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/georgpa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paul George<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/anthoca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carmelo Anthony<\/a><\/strong>, and the Thunder face the Nets on Thursday. While on December 9, the <strong>Erik Spoelstra<\/strong>\u00a0led Miami Heat challenges the Atkinson led Brooklyn outfit.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0NBA Mexico City Games 2017 mark the 25th and 26th games played in Mexico. These games most of all, help the NBA celebrate its 25th Anniversary of playing games in Mexico.\u00a0Especially relevant, the Brooklyn Nets are excited to play at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>General Manager <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/marksse01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sean Marks<\/a><\/strong> see this as more than another road trip for his Nets team. \u201cThe Brooklyn Nets are honored to be the host team for the 2017 NBA Mexico City Games and help the league celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first NBA game in Mexico,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nba.com\/nets\/news\/2017\/08\/09\/brooklyn-nets-play-nba-mexico-city-games-2017\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said Sean Marks, Brooklyn Nets General Manager<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>National Network Neglect\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In closing, the Nets were allocated two games on NBA TV this season. One game was a loss to the Utah Jazz. The other is game on Saturday versus the Heat.<\/p>\n<p>Television networks ABC, ESPN, and TNT shunned the Brooklyn outfit, opting for more fashionable teams like the\u00a0 Suns and Mavericks.
