The Big East set itself up for more success based on the quality of the Big East recruits who signed earlier this week. Time will tell if the recent signees can live up to the hype when they start playing during the 2025-26 college basketball season. <\/span>Connecticut has the No. 2 rated class according to the <\/span>247sports.com database<\/span><\/a>. Butler is next among Big East teams with a recruiting class ranked 13th. Marquette’s class is ranked 14th. UConn signee <\/span>Braylon Mullins<\/span><\/a> is the <\/span>top-rated Big East recruit<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two members of this year’s freshman class are off to impressive starts. Georgetown’s <\/span>Thomas Sorber<\/a> leads the Big East<\/span> with an average of 11 rebounds per game. He is fourth in scoring at 22.5 points per contest. <\/span>Liam McNeeley<\/span><\/a> is averaging 14.3 points and 8.0 rebounds for UConn.\u00a0<\/span>The <\/span>ESPN recruiting rankings<\/span><\/a> have six Big East signees in the top 50 in the Class of 2025. Not every current Big East star was a <\/span>top recruit<\/span><\/a> coming out of high school. However, landing the top talent is on the radar of every Big East program.<\/span><\/p>\n

UConn Leads the Big East\u2019s 2025 Recruiting Class<\/h2>\n

When it comes to signing Big East recruits, nobody is topping what UConn coach <\/span>Dan Hurley<\/span><\/a> has been accomplishing on the recruiting trail. That didn’t change this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hurley signed current NBA rookies <\/span>Donovan Clingan<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Stephon Castle<\/span><\/a> in recent recruiting classes. McNeeley could soon join them in the NBA. Now, he <\/span>added a class<\/span><\/a> that could keep the Huskies in contention for more national titles. Everybody in the Big East is <\/span>chasing UConn<\/span><\/a>, the two-time defending national champions, it looks like that could continue based on UConn’s recruiting success.<\/span><\/p>\n

NBA Could Be In The Future For UConn’s Signees<\/b><\/h3>\n

ESPN has <\/span>UConn signees<\/span><\/a> Darius Adams<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Eric Reibe<\/span><\/a> and Mullins listed as top 25 recruits. There is no doubt that this looks like another strong class of incoming recruits for UConn.<\/span><\/p>\n
