The Atlanta Hawks are just 2-4 to start the 2024-25 season, tied for 10th in the East.<\/p>\n
While they could certainly be better, their record doesn\u2019t quite reflect their play. Once again, Atlanta has been hampered by injuries, with Dyson Daniels<\/a>, De\u2019Andre Hunter<\/a> and Bogdan Bogdanovic<\/a> missing multiple games. This has forced them to start rookie Zaccharie Risacher<\/a> and toggle through their frontcourt options to fill in Hunter\u2019s spot.<\/p>\n To be fair, multiple players \u2014namely Risacher, David Roddy<\/a>, Garrison Mathews<\/a>, and Keaton Wallace<\/a> \u2014have had their moments. Roddy, Mathews, and Wallace \u2014who wouldn\u2019t have played nearly as much had the team been healthy \u2014have been particularly consistent. This speaks not only to their talent, but Quin Snyder\u2019s coaching.<\/p>\n Still, it\u2019s clear that the Hawks are outmatched from a talent standpoint most nights. That\u2019s what makes the mindset of Trae Young<\/a> all the more special. Though the knowledge of his scoring ability could\u2019ve caused him to take a more aggressive approach, he\u2019s been showing trust in his teammates.
