The Celtics have won 7 of their last 8 games. In the first round, the Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 4-1. Jimmy Butler was unfortunately injured and did not play in the series at all. In the first game against the Cavaliers, the Celtics dominated from the very start. Jaylen Brown and Derrick White had a great shooting night. Kristaps Porzingis is likely out for this series, but even without him, the Celtics have great depth.
The Cavaliers really struggled on the road in the first round against the Magic. Home court advantage helped them to win game 7 and proceed into the second round. Donovan Mitchell showed why he is their leader, and he led them to victory. In the first game against the Celtics, the Cavaliers shot poorly from the deep, scoring just 26 percent from the 3pt line. Donovan Mitchell was their only offensive threat. They need their other players to step up offensively, if they want to have a chance against the Celtics.
