Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie and center DeAndre Jordan have tested positive for coronavirus, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The news broke late Monday, about a week after multiple players like Nikola Jokic also tested positive for coronavirus. There are now three Nets players that have officially tested positive for COVID-19: Dinwiddie, Jordan, and forward Kevin Durant. Brooklyn is currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, just 0.5 games ahead of the Orlando Magic for the eighth spot.
Two Brooklyn Nets have tested positive for the coronavirus — Jordan and Spencer Dinwiddie. Jordan has opted-out of Orlando, and Dinwiddie is strongly considering the same. Nets will sign a substitute for Jordan, per sources. Nets are presently the seventh seed in East.

Spencer Dinwiddie and DeAndre Jordan’s Latest Status
Both Spencer Dinwiddie and DeAndre Jordan have made statements regarding their health status and their decision to play in Orlando.
Jordan took it to Twitter to announce his status, stating that he will not be in Orlando for “the resumption of the season.”
Found out last night and confirmed again today that I’ve tested positive for Covid while being back in market. As a result of this, I will not be in Orlando for the resumption of the season.

On the other hand, Dinwiddie is unsure of whether he’ll be ready to play in July. In a recent conversation with Shams Charania, he has expressed interest in playing, but also that he is experiencing many symptoms from COVID-19.

The Brooklyn Nets Roster Moving Forward
As teams are preparing their final rosters to play in the Orlando bubble in late July, Brooklyn will have to make more changes than expected.
With Jordan being out of the five spot, Jarrett Allen will most likely be a starter. However, the Nets are open to signing another big to replace Jordan. If Dinwiddie does not return, then Brooklyn could move new signee Tyler Johnson to the one spot, or move Garrett Temple to the one spot.
Ultimately, Brooklyn could be in a tough situation to keep their playoff spot due to their depleted roster. Still, if Dinwiddie can remain the number one option in Brooklyn and the right moves are made within the roster, then the Nets can remain a team to beat in the Eastern Conference.
