Andre Drummond Heading to the Cleveland Cavaliers

Andre Drummond’s Role in Cleveland

Now that Drummond will be a Cavalier, he will most likely be the premier starter at the five-spot. Tristan Thompson was initially the starter at center, so it’ll be interesting to see how Cleveland will work out the frontcourt. If Cleveland keeps Thomspon, they can change the frontcourt lineup in a multitude of ways.

Drummond could pair with Kevin Love or Larry Nance Jr. Drummond could either have maximum minutes or limited minutes. Whatever Cleveland decides to do, it’s certain that Drummond was certainly brought to be the premier center considering his numbers.

Drummond is a rim protector and can run the ball well considering his size. This poses as an advantage for Cleveland, whose’s ranked 29th in defensive rebounds and rebounds overall.

Detroit Pistons Renovating Roster For New Start

Getting rid of Andre Drummond was a way for the Pistons to create a salary dump. Not having Drummond creates less stress of paying him up until the end of his contract. But bringing in Knight and Henson, they have expiring contracts. This gives Detroit the option to dump those contracts for an influx of cap space needed to rebuild.
