His potential absence is a blow to a Red Sox offense struggling to find its rhythm, especially with minor injuries already affecting players like Walker Buehler, Kutter Crawford, Connor Wong, Masataka Yoshida, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2025\/04\/02\/red-sox-ink-infielder-contract\/\" target=\"_self\">Kristian Campbell<\/a>. Boston can also call up new-turned first baseman Vaughn Grissom from Triple-A Worcester as well. Not to mention, top prospects <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2024\/09\/17\/roman-anthony-newest-no-1-prospect\/\" target=\"_self\">Roman Anthony<\/a> and Marcelo Mayer are just steps away from their big league debuts. The Red Sox hold an 18-16 record one month into the 2025 season, good for second place in the AL East.
