Yesavage pitches with a high level of competitive drive, but he possesses the willingness to improve. This provides him with a unique advantage making it hard for batters to track the ball. He has demonstrated a good command of his pitches, as evidenced by his low walk rate and low batting average against. Yesavage’s strong physical presence (6’4″ and 225 lbs), and his competitiveness, make him a threat on the mound.

His solid performance in college, with a 2.58 ERA and 295 strikeouts across 195 1/3 innings for East Carolina, exemplifies his capability to perform in high-leverage situations. Scouts also believe that Yesavage has quick riser potential.
