A 2023 eighth-round draft pick, Yoho has been lights out this season, delivering 9 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball across eight appearances with one save. His call-up comes at a time when Milwaukee’s bullpen has struggled mightily, ranking 26th in MLB with a 5.54 ERA, the fourth worst mark in the National League. Yoho now gets his shot to provide much-needed stability to a relief corps in search of answers.

Brewers Calling Up Reliever Craig Yoho

Yoho had one of the most remarkable minor league seasons in recent memory for the Brewers, earning the organization’s Minor League Pitcher of the Year honors in 2024. He dominated at High-A Wisconsin, posting a 1.27 ERA over 23 innings in 18 appearances before earning a promotion to Triple-A Nashville on August 6. On August 9, Yoho tossed a scoreless inning against Indianapolis in his Triple-A debut.

The Brewers are calling up reliever Craig Yoho, per @CyrtHogg.

He’s, uh, pretty nasty.

Trust us ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/n9dCH8YkeL

— Baseball America (@BaseballAmerica) April 21, 2025

Across three levels last season, Yoho finished with a staggering 0.94 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 101 strikeouts over 57 2/3 innings. From June 18 to August 24, he didn’t allow an earned run, a streak spanning 19 appearances and 21 2/3 innings between Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A Nashville. During that stretch, Yoho struck out 41 batters, held opponents to a .141 average and carried a 0.83 WHIP. Over 70 innings in his minor-league career, Yoho has a 1.16 ERA and 113 strikeouts to only 27 walks allowed.

His changeup, a double-plus offering on scouting scales, generates massive movement in multiple directions and is considered his pbest pitch. Yoho also throws a 92-94 mph slider, a cutter in the upper 80s and a mid-70s sweeper.

The Brewers will need to make a corresponding roster move, both the active 26-man roster and the 40-man roster. Sources indcated that Logan Henderson could lose his rotation spot with Tobias Myers returning Thursday.

Main Photo: © Jeff Hanisch-Imagn Images

The Milwaukee Brewers have promoted right-hander Craig Yoho from Triple-A Nashville, as first reported by Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
